CopyCenter Online Manual – Music Department & Dance Program

The GVSUCopyCenter will no longer accept copy jobs submitted through the paper copy job form. All copy jobs must be submitted on the new GVSUCopyCenter online website.

This manual will give you step by step instructions on how to submit a copy job online.

To access the CopyCenter website go to:

Below is the first page you will see once you go to this website.

The next step is to log in. Please click on the Log In hyperlink on the upper right hand corner of this page.

Below is the page you will see when you click on the Log In hyperlink.

The next step is to input your log in information so that you can log in to the system. The Music Department & Dance Program log in information is:

User name:mus

Password:music

Below is the page you will see once you log in to the system. You now have to choose whether or not you want to submit a quick copy or an advanced copy. The quick copy option allows you to submit copy jobs that are black and white on either colored or white paper, are stapled and collated and do not require any other finishing. The advance copy option allows you to submit copy jobs that require finishing such as hole punching, special paper such as card stock, folding, cutting, colored ink and binding.

To choose either quick copy or advance copy, click on the appropriate hyperlink.

Below is the page you will see if you click on either quick copy or advance copy. On this page you must either submit an electronic file to be copied by clicking ‘yes’ or click ‘no’ to submit a hard copy to the Copy Center. If you chose ‘no’ please skip to page 7 in this manual.

If you click ‘yes’ you will see the page below.

Please click on browse to find the file you would like copied. Once you have selected the file by double clicking on it, click ‘upload file.’

Once you click upload file you will see the page below. Click on the ‘browse’ button to find the file you would like to submit electronically. Once you have selected the file click the ‘upload’ button. Adobe Acrobat Reader will open and you will have a chance to review your file to make sure it is correct before you actually submit it for printing. Another screen will ask if you would like to add any more files.

If you use a Mac click on ‘choose’ file and select the file with one mouse click – then click ‘upload file’.

After you have either submitted an electronic file or skipped submitting an electronic file, and if you have chosen the quick copy function, you will see the page below. (If you chose the advanced copy function please skip to page 11). Please fill in or select the following fields:

Order Name: Please be sure to include YOUR NAME in this field so we know who to return the copy job to as well as mailbox # 50 so that the CopyCenter knows which inbox to place the completed order in

Paper Size: select the size of paper you would like you job to be printed on

# Sets/Copies: Input the number of copies you would like printed

Sheets Per Set: Indicate how many pieces of paper will be included in EACH copied set

Example: 9 sheets of paper doubled sided equals 5 sheets of paper per set

Main Paper Selection: choose one sided or two sided copies

black and white copies or color copies

select the color of paper you would like to print on

After you have named your copy job including YOUR NAME and MAILBOX # 50, selected the paper size, number of copies and which color paper you would like your copy job to be printed on, you will see the page below. Please choose whether or not you would like your copy job collated and stapled, collated and three hole drilled or neither.

Account: There are TWO accounts you can choose. Please be careful when selecting the account numbers as

one is for the Music Department and one is for the Dance Program.

Date Needed: Please indicate when you need your copy job to be completed. If you need a copy job by 8:00

a.m. please select the date prior to the date you actually need the job.

CopyCenter: Please select which CopyCenter you would like your job run

After you have selected the account number you would like charged, the date you need your copy job completed, and the CopyCenter where you would like your job printed you will see the page below. Please review this page carefully as this has all of your order specifications. If you are satisfied with your specifications, please click the ‘submit’ button. You will be taken to a screen where you should print out a copy of your order IF you are submitting a hard copy. This will act as your CopyCenter form. Please place your CopyCenter form and hard copy of the material to be printed in the stackable trays on the Academic Coordinator’s counter labeled CopyCenter. The student employees will take jobs over and pick up completed jobs from the CopyCenter twice a day at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. your completed jobs will be placed in your mailbox.

After you have either submitted an electronic file or skipped submitting an electronic file, and if you have chosen the advanced copy function, you will see the page below. Please fill in or select the following fields:

Budget Code: There are TWO accounts you can choose. Please be careful when selecting the account numbers

as one is for the Music Department and one is for the Dance Program.

Order Type: Select the size of paper for your copy job

Number of sets/copies: Select the number of copies you would like printed

Color Options: Select black and white copies, color copies or back and white color copies

Rush: Please select if this is a rush job

After you have named your copy job including YOUR NAME and MAILBOX # 50, selected the budget code, paper size, number of copies, color options and if the job is a rush, you will see the page below. Please select if you will use special cover stock (such as a card stock cover for a course pack) for the front and back pages of your copy job.

After you have selected cover stock for your copy job you will see the page below. Please select which paper you would like your copy job printed on, the weight of the paper you would like as well as the style of paper.

After you have selected which paper you would like your job printed on, you will see the page below. Please indicate how many pieces of paper will be included in EACH copied set, select whether you or not you would like your copy job to be double or single sided and write down any additional comments you would like the CopyCenter to read.

On this page you have the option to indicate if you would like any special binding, if you would like your job three hole drilled, collated, if you would like your copy job made into pads and if you would like your copy job cut or folded. Please select your specifications.
