GUIDELINES FOR IJCNLP-08 PARTICIPANTS!!!

LOC has already put FAQ’s on website ( which you are requested to go thru before leaving for India. Given below are some general guidelines to assist you in your participation and fruitful stay at Hyderabad.

a. VISA

For entry in to India, valid VISA is essential. Individuals having tourist VISA can also participate in IJCNLP-08. We had made every effort to send invitation letters to all the authors of Oral, Poster papers and Workshops/Tutorials participants well in time to enable all to process VISA documents with concerned Indian consulate/embassy. In case anyone still has difficulty, please get in touch with Secretariat ().

b. Airport transfers

Due to financial constraints, LOC is unable to assist you with airport transfers as well as transportation to your accommodation in hotels/hostels/guest house places. However, we have requested BegumpetAirport pre-paid taxi services provider M/s Akbar Travels India to give you all assistance in guiding you to your accommodation with suitable taxi at reasonable fixed prices. At present the pre-paid taxi charges for the destinations to Gachibowli campus (IIIT-H & ISB) are Rs.440/- (USD $12). All delegates are required to pay for their taxi charges. Please take prepaid taxi and note taxi number for security reasons. In case of any difficulty, please call Mr Sameer of M/s Akbar Travels India (Car Rental Services) on Mobile: 99498-44423 or Mr Srinivas of IJCNLP-08 LOC Secretariat on 97044-48000 of IJCNLP-08 LOC Secretariat, in case of emergency.

c. Local Transport

Since public transport is not very reliable in Hyderabad, all delegates are advised to use metered taxis/auto (three-wheelers) for their all transport requirements. All the hotels have arrangement to get you suitable transport for taking you to the venues of IJCNLP-08. d. Shuttle Transport at Hostels/Guest House

All delegates who have registered for student accommodation to IIIT-H, will be provided a central shuttle transport from accommodation place to the venues of Tutorials/Workshops and Technical Conference, at fixed time from 7 to 12 Jan 2008.

e. Local Tours

We are organizing one of the local tour operators to be available at the Registration Desk with details of various local tours which you can avail directly with the agent.

f. Registration Desk

Registration for IJCNLP-08 will start operating as per the following timings for Tutorials, Workshops and for Conference.

7 Jan 2008 – 0830 to 1700hrs in ‘A’ Block of IIIT-H campus

8 to 10 Jan 2008 – 0800 to 1700hrs in Ground Floor of ISB campus

11 to 12 Jan 2008 – 0800 to 1200hrs in ‘A’ Block of IIIT-H campus

Please register on 7 Jan 2008 or at your earliest to avoid last minute rush!

g. Local Hospitality

Your registration fee for Tutorials, Workshops and Conference entitle you to free tea/coffee and lunch during the specified timings in the program booklet. Full kit containing programme CD will be given to you at the registration desk. Volunteers would be available to the delegates for any help required!

LOC is making all possible arrangements with local agents and with our volunteers to make your stay as comfortable as possible in Hyderabad, India. Do bear with us if there are any inconvenience. The local population does understand English apart from their Indian language.

h. Refunds/Reconciliation

Any discrepancy in your registration fee will be reconciled by Finance Desk which will operates at Registration venue.
