Hi All

We are still looking for sponsorship to run a new league from Failands, this will be for Sparks and Flames, plus a possible expansion for the Flares, sothere is still a lot of work and thought that needs to go into this. This league will be for clubs wanting to promote educational, friendly but still with a competitive edge.

As we are drawing to the end of the season, Dave and I feel we would like to meet up with all the parents and discus how we move forward, we always want to look forward add things or change things to make the club stronger, we would like to get some parents on board to run the academy.

Looking forward– We do strive for excellent hockey, but at the same time aim to improve all levels in the game whether that be as a county player or a budding club player, we wish to stretch the players, and to that end we are going to start/enter more competitions, we will be starting indoor hockey next year, and as always will be looking for your support

Flames Café– To date we have raised £300, so thank you to those that have helped in the kitchen and also for those supporting the other side of the counter. We are looking to go to Airhop at Cribbs Causeway at the end of the season, this is so the youngsters can do something different as a club. We are looking for a 1hr session from 10:30-11:30am. But have a big problem sorting a date, but will keep you informed

Firebrands 70th Anniversary –Firebrands are celebrating their 70th Anniversary on the 8thApril, we will be involved, so please put this in your diaries. The academy girls are going have an hour from 10-11am this will be coordinated by Racheal and Frankie, the Sparks and Flames Boys are going to have a game from 11-12pm, there will be a BBQ for lunch and senior game through the afternoon. Really worth making the effort.

Flames U16’sThe U16’s does not have many fixtures in the season but do support the Flames senior side on Saturdays Next game 5th Mar at 1:30pm at home against Westbury united banks

Flames boysWe have pulled out of the AJHL as the players were not getting any development training out of the games, we are now looking for some friendlies for the end of the season.
