We have a new data manager. Still need a State Training Officer. EMS conference is the last weekend in October. Due to Act 155 there will now be $150,000 to use for different things for the districts. This year the money will be used for training. We have PEP books for the district now just need to train some insructors.

Transition: Early next year we will start credentialing, got a pass for this year. Brady agreed to allow us to use their training information if we agree to let the squads know that they have books for sale to use. Protocols will roll out after the transitions are complete.

District 5 Award: Jon Bouffard, Kirsten Nutter, and Mark Podgwait will be heading up the committee to decide standards for getting the award. We will send the award holder to EMS on the Hill.

I/C Course: Jon Bouffard took the course. He stated it went quite well, but will be giving feedback on ways to improve the next class. Mike Leyden will research how to renew your I/C once you have it.

New Business:

District resources for incident rehab: The is going to be a committee on developing a group willing to do rehab, or we will do a rehab class at the squad level, using the National FD standards.

District MCI: Scheduled for 7:00 on October 6th, 2012. Mini MCI.

District Trailer Repairs: There is a battery that is not working, also effecting the lights. Moved, seconded, and accepted to purchase a battery.

Intoxicated patients: Dr. Baker states that all intoxicated patients need to be brought in. If you believe it is not necessary then you need to get approval from Medical Control. Dr. Baker will express this to his peers so everyone is on the same page.

EMS Memorial: This will be tabled until the November meeting. We need to discuss if this will be done on a district level or squad level.

CAT 2 Participation: Mark Podgwait has agreed to be on the board. We have agreed to do this and use the new MCI plan that NVRH is almost completed with.

Announcements: Debra Bach stated the flu vaccines are available in the ED. She said to have EMS personal just go in and ask for them if the staff is not busy. If it works better for squads she is willing to have somebody come to us as groups.

NVRH staff asks that when we bring a patient in, to please make sure that they have something warm to go home in as the weather is quickly getting colder.

There will be a district training on the 17th and if you can’t make it, there will be another on the 30th in Barnett.
