In what ways will a campus-wide wireless network benefit you?
In what ways will a campus-wide wireless network benefit you?
In the middle of classes, I use my laptop or tablet to study, check my grades, or do homework so that I will have less work to do when I get home.
Allows me to have access to information no matter where I am on campus.
It allows me to look up an school related information on the go without the use of cellular data.
Homework access, turning in assignments and research for papers.
It will be convenient .
Being able to access on my own laptop or phone
While waiting for my class to begin I can do my homework if I bring my tablet.
easier access to school work
Be able to access the Internet anywhere. If you're in the parking lot and you need to research something before class you will be able to do so
Being able to access blackboard on my phone during the time I am on campus and allowing me to use my laptop for accessing online classes while on campus, which is a joke right now. I cannot even get my laptop to connect most of the time, so I don't bother
It will benefit me because it will allow me to do homework at any place on campus
When it actually works, rarely, it is very useful.
Connect laptop and mobile phone (iPhone).
It will be easier to do work for research papers and other things.
To help access blackboard
Not much.
Computer usage in class could dramatically alter the way I perform in hybrid classes without available computers. The option of bringing my personal laptop would decrease my workload.
I don't have to go to the library just to get wifi.
It would allow me to do homework at any location on campus.
When I have my laptop on campus, it would be nice to use it outside on nice days and I believe others would to, making for less congestion in the buildings, especially the library
Easier since some students are on Dallas all day and sometimes its hard to get into a computer in the library
Fixing campus wireless connectivity will allow me to more realistically integrate my student workflow with the cloud, something which is very difficult right now. Technology is constantly pushing resources to the internet but using them on campus is painful or even impossible. A campus with reliable wireless is one I could attend with a pen bag, a notebook, and a tablet or laptop, instead of a huge bag full of stuff I only bring with me because I don't know if I'll be able to access it while I'm at COS.
will have unlimited access to the network in all classroom situations to upload lecture notes to approp BB sites
easier access to online class material, email, and references
I NEED IT FOR ALL REASONS ACADEMIC AND WORK RELATED
I'd be able to use my tablet in every class to access online resources/online homework.
I could do my homework anywhere on campus and not have to use the school computer which is hard to fine one with the program I use
Complete homework and conduct research everywhere. Even in the bathroom!
Easy access for laptop, tablets, and smartphone use
Able to log onto blackboard and other necessary websites
I will not be limited to where I can use my laptop on campus.
Being able to access assignments that deal with online classes, tests that would need to be taken, important schedule dates etc., without having to move to a specific place on campus that would allow wifi access.
i would be able to see if any of my classes are cancelled. or i am able to send emails from anywhere in the school to get a hold of a teacher before class
It will allow the students to be able to access their school's wifi from any location on the campus.
Sometimes, it's extemely important that I be able to access the internet, using my own computer, that has all of my files on it. It's nice that there are computers available on campus, but sometimes it's just not convenient to put all of your info on a USB drive, your personal computer may have software loaded on it that you need, or, in my case, I don't really trust the security of the campus computers.
I will be able to do homework when I am outside my classes, yet still in school.
The library is always really busy and full of students every time i go in. this makes it difficult to find somewhere to study. if the wireless network was campus-wide, i could do school work almost anywhere on campus.
Quickly be able to communicate with class members or instructors in case of important information; i.e class is cancelled.
