SUMMARY
View, facing southwest, of ancient Native American (Anasazi) cliff dwelling ruins on Chapin Mesa, MesaVerdeNational Park, Montezuma County, Colorado. The stone masonry ruins of CliffPalace, before excavation, stand underneath a cliffside overhang. The ruins of five great kivas or dance plazas and a four-story building are visible. The ruins of SunTemple stand in the distance, across CliffCanyon.
