UNICEF USA (UUSA) Has an Immediate Need for a Special Events Intern

UNICEF USA (UUSA) has an immediate need for a special events intern.

The special events intern will assist with logistics for events including an annual gala, annual family fun day, donor cultivation and outreach events, and office administration.

The ideal applicant for the special events intern position will:

  • Be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program in hospitality management, or event management/planning, or similar field of study.
  • Be able to commit to 15-20 hours per week, two to three days per week.
  • Demonstrate an interest in UNICEF, as well as an interest in working in a non-profit fundraising role.
  • Have critical thinking skills for strategy development and compiling research.
  • Have strong office skills including proficiency in all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Have excellent verbal and analytical skills.
  • Be fluent in English.

Additionally, experience with Mail Chimp and/or event management programs is a plus.

This is an unpaid internship, however a small daily transportation stipend is provided for each in office day completed.

WHILE WE ARE PRIMARILY ONLY SEEKING APPLICANTS THAT CAN COMMIT TO BOTH FALL SEMESTER, 2017 AND SPRING SEMESTER, 2018, WE WILL ALSO CONSIDER THOSE WHO CAN ONLY COMMIT TO FALL, 2017 OR SPRING, 2018.

Dates and hours: UUSA is open to working with student schedules, however we require a minimum of 12-15 hours per week. Our offices are open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m,. until 5:00 p.m.
