Job Purpose / To carry out all aspects of Flagging work including general repairs, maintenance and refurbishment. Delivery and customer care in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertake all Flagging repairs to any buildings managed by or worked on by STH , or any other properties as directed.
- Undertake all excavationsworks, assessing structural integrity of the area before excavations works is undertaken.
- Undertake all drainage and ground works work as necessary.
- Undertake all fencing renews, replacement and removals work as necessary.
- To operate the IT systems provided (PDA’s) inline with the companies polices and procedures, enabling the necessary documentationto be provided and updated accurately and in real time.
- Diagnostic assessment of tenant reported repairs, ensuring sufficient information is passed on to planners, to enable a considered action to enable the repair to be completed.
- Ensure that vehicles provided are parked and driven considerately and are kept secure, alarmed (where one is fitted) and clean (both internally and externally) where reasonably practicable.
- To adhere to and operate within the STH Health and Safety Policies, risk assessments and safe working practices, ensuring your own Health and Safety and that of others.
- Ensure that relevant task specific risk assessments are available for tasks such as working at height, electrical, gas, COSHH and manual handling.
- Be responsible for impressed stock levels and replenishment on vans and any other items issued to them. Identifying non stock items and requests for non-standard jobs.
- Safeguard Six Town Housing property/plant machinery.
- Be courteous at all times and maintain the STH Customer Care Policy.
- Managing own time to ensure the best use of the full working day ensuring own availability for work for the full contracted working hours where possible, ensuring all appointments are met where possible and informing supervision in good time if appointments are likely not to be met to allow work to be rescheduled.
- Report any related further works reported by a customer which cannot be carried out within the parameters described above, in sufficient detail to ensure an accurate further works order can be raised on the system.
- Ensure that any personal protective clothing or equipment issued and the uniform provided is worn and maintained at all time and is clean and tidy.
- Be responsible for the maintenance and security of the impress stock on the vehicle and the accurate recording of materials used against a given job either manually or on a mobile data device.
- To provide advice and assist with the training of colleagues
- The post holder will be required to carry out any other duties of a similar calibre that are commensurate with the role

Qualified to NVQ level two in Flagging and Ground Works or equivalent . / E / Application Form / Interview
Knowledge and Experience
Self motivated, positive and able to work under pressure
Knowledge of safe working procedures and experience of working safely in an operational or high risk customer environment
Able to work with minimum supervision and on your own.
Experience of working in the building industry, including knowledge to make recommendations for repairs

Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of use of Stihl Saw and certificate
Knowledge of use of CAT Scanning and certificate
Ability to use ICT systems including PDA’s
Ability to prioritise activities and work to deadlines
Ability to trace, diagnose and rectify faults
Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills. Liaising with internal and external customers
Ability to produce information in written form including completion of necessary work documentation
