Established Goals:
The staff of River Bend Elementary will ensure the academic, social,
emotional, and behavioral success of all students of color.
Enduring Understandings:
  • All students have the ability to achieve at high levels.
  • The mental models of staff have a long-lasting impact on the school community.
  • Ethnicity is not the sole indicator of a student’s ability to learn.
  • Learning is directly connected to the student’s experiences.

Staff Participation in Cultural Simulation
Vertical Teaming specifically to discuss students of color.
DIA grade level representatives will meet frequently with teachers to discuss students of color, their progress, and to offer strategies.
Guest Presenter on CRT strategies (Ann).
DIA grade level representatives will be attending Community Circles. DIA representative will lead a Community Circle on a diversity-related theme at least twice during the year.
DIA Members will continue to look for resources that can be used to build the social justice perspective in our school community. / Every parent of color will be contacted at least 3 times yearly by a Team Member to gain insight, build relationships, inform of opportunities, and share successes. / Mosaics – Level II
