Review of Last Meeting Minutes
Actions:
Ali – register for Go Dive – we’re registered and have been sent 5 welcome packs.
Osama – send out detailed fundraising email to the Committee – this never happened, Os/Nathan please can you send this as soon as possible.
Osama – contacting people re: sponsoring the anniversary dinner, Os was away for this meeting so no update on this.
Items for Attention
- Good news update:
ULU have secured a contract to retain the use of the 2nd floor rooms. They are also buying new MPVs to replace the current ones.
- 50th Anniversary: a) We need a firm list of merchandise, Gloria to draw up a list of possibilities and do a poll within the club to determine what people would buy. Splash jackets are probably too expensive at £60 minimum.
b) Advertising – Jer to look into articles in BSAC talk and DIVE
c) Initial plan for a 50th anniversary fundraising event is to hold a fun run – Nick to organise.
d) Sarah C – currently updating BSAC’s list of members affiliated to our club to help towards branch of the year.
- Go Dive: We’re registered, BSAC will send us names of people who want to take part.
Treasurer’s Report
Tbc – I was rubbish and didn’t get all this down.
Agreed to offer 3 year ULSAC memberships at the current price of £28 per year ahead of a proposed fee increase (to be decided).
DO Report
Successful trips to West Bay and Newhaven. Incident on the Newhaven trip has been followed up with all involved – they are fine – and a report has been submitted to BSAC.
Upcoming trip to Portland 26-27th July will focus on giving ODs and new SDs more diving experience – encourage them to sign up.
TO
Most people just have to do a few dives to get their qualifications finished off. Please encourage them to sign up for trips
ATO
ULSAC instructor development session -
ULSAC official IFC on 4th/5th October. We need 12 people to do it or it won’t happen.

Membership
All quiet at the moment but people’s memberships will be up for renewal soon. Anouk to monitor and let people know when they need to renew.
EO
We’ve bought 5 new regs – hooray!! They are waiting for collection from Tony.
BO
Al has made slate holders, radar reflector holders and prop bags for the boats – so domesticated.
Several rollers need to be re-fitted on one of the trailers.
The garage was cleared out and is now very neat and tidy. Lots of stuff was found so please ask Vics before buying anything because we might have it already.
We need new emergency boxes – they cost approx £20 each
Vics got a new tool box and best of all it was free!

Summer weekend was a huge success – especially the Octopush. Planning to maybe make the Octopush a regular collaboration – Committee agreed this was a great idea.
Ali to send 50th anniversary logo to Helen/Gloria so that they can use it for 50th anniversary letters etc.
