Two desperate robbers/ snatchers arrested

Two automatic Pistols with 8 live cartridges, one robbed Swift Car and some robbed gold articles recovered

With the arrest of two robbers namely Aash Mohd @ Aashu S/o Irshad R/o 20, Foota Road, Prem Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P. and Aash Mohd S/o Samshad R/o H. No. 619, Gali No. 2, Pooja Colony, Village Paavi, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P., a team of PS Fatehpur Beri, South District have busted a gang of robbers and recovered two automatic Pistols with 8 live cartridges, one robbed Swift Car and some robbed goldarticles were recovered from their possession.

Brief facts :

On 17/05/14, a secret informationwas received about the movement of two robbers in Swift Car who will comefrom Chhattarpur side to go Haryana via BhattiVillage. Immediately, a police team consisting of SI Manmeet Malik, ASI Ranvir Singh, HC Ashok No. 327/SD, HC Ashok No. 278/SD, HC Pardeep No. 1683/SD, Ct Jai Kumar No. 2888/SD, Ct Sudakar No. 1431/SD, Ct Vikas No. 2181/SD, Ct Kewarpal No. 1343/SD, Ct Anil No. 1591/SD, Ct Kapil No. 1915/SD was formed under the leadership of Inspr. Sukhdev Singh Mann, SHO Fatehpur Beri and overall supervision of Sh. Ram Kumar Rathee, ACP Mehrauli. The team started checking of vehicles with HR registration numbersat SawanPublic School. One silver colour Swift Car, bearing Regn. number HR 01AF 3627 was signaled by the team to stop for checking but the driver in order to escape from the spot, accelerated the speed. At the same time, driver of Swift Car lost control and collided with the barricades. Both the occupants were forcibly pulled out of the car by the police party. On their search, two loaded automatic pistols with 8 live cartridges were recovered from their possession. They were identified as Aash Mohd @ Aashu S/o Irshad R/o 20, Foota Road, Prem Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P. and Aash Mohd S/o Samshad R/o H. No. 619, Gali No. 2, Pooja Colony, Village Paavi, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P. On verification, the Swift Car was found stolen from PS Indirapuram vide FIR No. 618/14 U/s 379 IPC dated 06/05/14. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 268/14 U/s 25 Arms Act & 411 IPC was registered at PS Fatehpur Beri and both accused persons were arrested.

Interrogation :

During interrogation, both accused disclosed that they alongwith their co-accused Hasan had committed various robbery and snatching in the area of Delhi and Noida, UP. They also disclosed to have procured the two pistols and live cartridges from one Irfan @ Motta r/o Maujpur, New Delhi. They also divulged that they belong to gang of Farooq Pehlwan and Firoz Fauzi.

Recovery :

  1. Two Automatic pistols with inscription made inItalyalongwith 8 live cartridges
  2. One robbed Swift Car, bearing Regn. No. HR 01 AF 3627
  3. Robbed gold chain and other some robbed articles

Profile of accused persons :

1.Aash Mohd @ Aashu (25 years) S/o Irshad R/o 20, Foota Road, Prem Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, U.P. is a school dropout. He left his schooling and came to Delhi for search of employment. He was not satisfied with his meager earning, hence, he started snatching and robbery. He is previously involved in the following criminal cases :

Gang of burglars / snatchers / auto lifters busted : 6 accused arrested

4 robbed gold chains, 5 stolen LCDs, branded shirts / trousers and 3 cars recovered

18 cases of robbery, auto lifting and burglary worked out.

A team of PS R.K. Puram, South District have arrested 6 desperate burglars cum auto lifters and robbers namely Rohit (20 years) S/o Mangal Singh R/o B-209, Madan Pur Khadar, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi (Gang Leader), Dalip Yadav (19 years) S/o Ram Dhari Yadav R/o Pandit Mohalla, Tilpat, Faridabad, Haryana, Sabir Khan (19 years) S/o Kale Khan R/o H. No. B-184, Chungi No. 2, Lal Kuan, Pul Prahladpur, New Delhi, Vargeesh @ Yogesh @ Tinkal (19 years) S/o Ved parkash R/o Village Khori, Lal Kuan, Suraj Kunj, Faridabad, Haryana, Rahul Dahiya (21 years) S/o late Wazir Singh R/o A-13, Jain Nagar Extension, Karala, New Delhi and Chintu @ Danis (21 years) S/o Deepak R/o I-179, Lal Kuan, Pul Pehladpur, New Delhi and recovered 4 robbed gold chains, 5 LCDs, branded shirts/trousers and 3 stolen cars from their possession. With their arrest, 18 cases of robbery / snatching / burglary have been worked out.

Brief facts :

In the intervening night of 7-8/05/14, a gang of five burglars had committed night burglary in the Duke Showroom in Sarojini Nagar Market, New Delhi. Accused persons had broken the shutter of the showroom by pulling it up through a rope with the help of their car. After committing theft, they had escaped in two cars i.e. Chevrolet Beat and Honda City. Meanwhile, the patrolling staff also reached in the market and tried to intercept the accused persons but they escaped by pelting stones and iron rods on the police party. The patrolling staff started chasing them on motorcycle and also flashed wireless message in this regard. ERV and other staff members also joined them in chasing them but they succeeded in escaping from the clutches of police party.

The team of PS R.K. Puram was also assigned the task to locate the criminals involved in the above incident. Accordingly, a team consisting of SI Vijay Kaushik, SI Harbir, ASI Surender Rana, HC Sukender No. 1686/SD, HC Gulab No. 1812/SD, HC Sanjeev No. 999/SD, Ct. Sundar No. 1746/SD, Ct. Prashant No. 2170/SD and Ct. Ajit No. 962/SD under the close supervision of Inspr. Neeraj Chaudhary SHO/R.K. Puram and overall supervision of Sh. Harpal Singh ACP/Safdarjung Enclave was formed. The team geared up their resources to get clue about the criminals involved in the crime. On receipt of secret information, the team laid down a trap in the area of R.K. Puram and arrested four accused namely Rohit, Dilip Yadav, Sabir Khan and Vargesh and recovered stolen white Chevrolet Beat Car from their possession. On search, branded stolen shirts / trousers were also recovered from the car.

Interrogation:

During interrogation, accused persons disclosed to have committed various burglaries and auto lifting in the past. They further disclosed to have committed two recent burglaries in the electronic showroom in Lodhi Colony and Duke Showroom in Sarojini Nagar Market. They also disclosed to have disposed off the stolen property to one Rahul Dahiya. Instantly, raids were conducted at the hideouts of Rahul Dahiya in KaralaVillage, Delhi and he was also arrested and five stolen LCDs and other stolen clothes were recovered from his possession. On the instance of accused persons, one more stolen Honda City car was recovered.

During interrogation, accused Dalip Yadav also disclosed name of his associate Chintu, who is previously involved in several incidents of robbery. At the instance of accused Dalip Yadav, the team laid a trap in the area of Pul Prahaladpdur and arrested accused Chintu and recovered four robbed/snatched gold chains from his possession. Further investigation is in process and their other involvements are being verified.

  1. Dalip Yadav (19 years) S/o Ram Dhari Yadav R/o Pandit Mohalla, Tilpat, Faridabad, Haryana is previously involved in 4 cases of robbery and theft. He also commits snatching and robbery with other gangs. After releasing from Tihar Jail, he joined gang of Rohit and started committing crime.
  1. Sabir Khan (19 years) S/o Kale Khan R/o H. No. B-184, Chungi No. 2, Lal Kuan, Pul Prahladpur, New Delhi is previously involved in two cases of theft and assault. After releasing from jail, he joined the gang of Rohit. He is expert in breaking the shutters of shops.
  1. Vargeesh @ Yogesh @ Tinkal (19 years) S/o Ved parkash R/o Village Khori, Lal Kuan, Suraj Kunj, Faridabad, Haryana is previously involved in four cases of theft. After releasing from jail, he joined the gang of Rohit. He is also expert in breaking the shutters of shops and conducting reconnaissance.
  1. Rahul Dahiya (21 years) S/o late Wazir Singh R/o A-13, Jain Nagar Extension, Karala, New Delhi used to provide cover to the other gang members while escaping from the spot.
  1. Chintu @ Danis (21 years) S/o Deepak R/o I-179, Lal Kuan, Pul Pehladpur, New Delhi is previously involved in 4 cases of robbery and theft. Presently, he along with his associates used to commit chain snatching and robbery in the South District area.

A notorious gang of cheats, who posed as police personnel, busted : 2 accused arrested.

2 recent cases of cheating worked out

Cheated gold jewelry worth Rs. 3.5 lacs recovered.

With the arrest of 2 cheats namely Akhlakh Mehandi (29 years) s/o Rasid Hussain R/o H. No. 225, Dargah Panja Sarif, Chota Bazar, Kashmiri Gate (Presently residing at Irani Basti, Bhopal, M.P.) and Sagar Mishra (32 years) S/o Dashrath Mishra R/o H. No. 216, Gas Rahat Colony, Karot, Bhopal (M.P.), a team of Special Staff, South District have busted a gang of cheats, who posed as police personnel. With their arrest, 2 cases of cheating have been solved and cheated gold jewelry worth Rs. 3.5 lakh have been recovered.

Incidents:

On 23-4-14,complainant r/o R.K. Puram, New Delhi reported that when she was going to Sector-8 Market, R.K. Puram, two persons in plain clothe met her at the red light of Sector-9, R.K. Puram and introduced themselves as “Police Personnel”. They advised her to keep her gold bangles and ear-rings in the bag as someone might snatch these items by slotting her hand and ears. On this, she put off her gold articles and while she was trying to keep the same in her bag, one of the two persons asked to help her to keep her jewelry in her bag. But by using some tricks, that person did not keep her 4 gold bangles in her bag. When complainant reached in the market, she found that both unknown persons had taken her gold bangles by cheating her. In this regard, a case FIR No. 303/14, dated 23-04-14, U/s 420/34 IPC was registered at PS R K Puram.

On 06-5-14, onecomplainant r/o Vasant Kunj, New Delhi reported that while she was coming back from May Fair Garden after medical check up from a Clinic, she hired an auto-rickshaw. When she reached near Press Enclave on Aurbindo Marg, the auto-rickshaw broke down and then she opted to hire another auto rickshaw. In the mean while, two unknown persons in plain clothe, sitting on a black bike called her and introduced themselves as “Police Personnel”. They advised her to keep her gold chain and bangles in her purse. When she kept her valuables in her purse, one of them took her bag and both ran away on their bike. In this regard, a case FIR No. 497/14, dated 06-05-14, U/s 420/34 at PS Malviya Nagar.

Investigation :

In order to prevent such criminal activities by an organized gang of fake police personnel, Special Staff, South District was directed to deploy sources to get clue about the criminals involved such activities. Accordingly, a team comprising ASI Ashok Kumar, HCs Vijay Kumar, Bir Singh, Premjeet, Joginder, and Cts. Sunil Kumar, Vijay and Naresh under the leadership of Inspr. Akhileshwar Yadav was formed. On 17-05-14, the team received some credible information that two notorious cheats would come near Metro Station Saket, on M B Road for disposal of cheated jewelry items. A trap was laid down at M B Road near Saket Metro Station and two persons were arrested. They were identified as Akhlakh Mehandi s/o Rasid Hussain R/o H. No. 225, Dargah Panja Sarif, Chota Bazar, Kashmiri Gate (Presently residing at Irani Basti, Bhopal, M.P.) and Sagar Mishra S/o Dashrath Mishra R/o H. No. 216, Gas Rahat Colony, Karot, Bhopal (M.P.). On search, one gold chain with locketand 6 gold bangles were recovered from their possession.

Interrogation:

During interrogation, both accused persons disclosed that they belong to poor families and presently residing in Bhopal. They were in dire need of money. They worked at different places but could not get good remuneration of their work. Later, they came in the contact with Lala, Haider and Sajor, notorious cheats and started cheating old people in Delhi and NCR, posing as “Police Personnel”. They have committed various cheatings in association with Lala, Haider and Sajor in all over India and avoided police catch. Further investigation is on to arrest Lala, Haider and Sajor.

  2. Case FIR No 497/14, dated 06-05-14, U/s 420/34 IPC PS Malviya Nagar

Recoveries:

  1. Six gold bangles
  2. One gold chain with locket

Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to affect more recovery and to ascertain their involvements in other cases. The police personnel involved in good work are being rewarded suitably.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

IPL T-20 CRICKET MATCH AT FEROZESHAH KOTLA GROUND ON 19. 05. 2014

Indian Premier League IPL T-20 cricket match between Punjab and Delhi Daredevils, will be played at Ferozeshah Kotla Ground on 19thMay 2014 from 7.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.Delhi Traffic Police has made elaborate traffic arrangements for traffic diversions and restrictions, parking of vehicles, traffic circulation, pedestrians’ movement and safety of the visitors in and around the Stadium.

PARKING

There is very limited parking for labelled vehicles but no parking for general vehicles in the proximity of the Stadium.

No vehicle shall be allowed to be parked on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (both the carriageways) on the match day as traffic is diverted due to construction work of DMRCPhase-III. Vehicles parked on these roads shall be towed away and action will be taken as per law.

PARK & RIDE FACILITY

For spectators park & ride facility has been created at following places:-

1. Mata Sundari Parking. 2. Shanti Van Parking.

All the spectators coming in their vehicles shall reach these Park & Ride sites, alight there and avail either “Park & Ride” facility or walk down to the stadium. After the conclusion of match, spectators are advised to reach park and ride places through shuttle service or walk down.

Car parking label holders are advised to take Ring Road, JLN Marg, Asaf Ali Road or Bahadurshah Zafar Marg. For labeled vehicles ‘U’ turn is allowed at Delhi Gate. Entry to parking labels P1, P1A, P3 and P4 shall be from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg only.

DTC and DDCA will run special connecting services from Pragati Maidan and New Delhi Metro Stations.

ACCESS TO THE STADIUM

(I)Gate Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are located on the Southern Side of the Stadium and entry to these enclosures are from Bahardurshah Zafar Marg.

(II)Gate Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 are located on the Eastern side of the stadium on the road and entry is from J.L.N. Marg next to Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal.

(III)Gate Nos. 16, 17 and 18 are located on the Western side of the stadium and entry is from Bahardurshah Zafar Marg next to Petrol Pump.

DIVERSION/RESTRICTION

DTC Buses

All buses and commercial vehicles coming from Rajghat, Daryaganj and Asaf Ali Road bound for ITO crossing (Ram Charan Aggarwal Chowk) will not be permitted to enter Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg as per the following schedule:

a)On 19th May, 2014 – from 1700 hours to 2100 hours.

These buses shall take Rajghat Ring Road – IP Flyover loop – IP Marg – ITO crossing (Ram Charan Aggarwal Chowk).

General Traffic

There will be diversion of traffic for half an hour after the match is concluded. During that time no traffic would be allowed on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Vishnu Digamber Marg, from Raj Ghat to JLN Marg, from Darya Ganj to Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Marg. People are requested to avoid following roads from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. when the spectators would be coming to the stadium and congestion is expected:

(1) Rajghat to JLN Marg,

(2) JLN Marg from R/A Kamla Market to Raj Ghat,
