Final Considerations

***The Head Coach will make final cuts after reviewing tryout performances.

The WCST is no substitute for lessons. Those who lack experience or skills should consider taking lessons, joining a summer league team, joining a club/USA team, or simply getting a membership to a local swimming pool. Swimmers who make the team will be routinely expected to swim 4,000-7,000 yards per practice, or 160-280 laps per practice. Swimmers, who are unsure of your abilities, should practice the try-out requirements in advance. Local swimming pools include WarrenCounty pool, Total Fitness Connection, PrestonCenter, and BGHS.

Final Team Roster and First Practice

The Final Team Roster will be posted at the pool on Wednesday Oct. 13th @ 3:00pm, and on the team website. The first official WCST practice will begin the next day, Thursday Oct. 14th @ 5:00pm. Check the website for more information about the practice schedule.

What else should I doduring this tryout period?

There will be NOorganized swim practice until October 14th. Instead, potential swimmers are encouraged to swim for a minimum of 30 mins, run at least 1 mile a day, or some other form of exercise for at least 30 min a day during this time.
