Ride Information

Directions

The venue is a field off of Station Lane in Dunham Massey. The post code is WA14 5RN. Due to

weight and height restrictions in Dunham Village please follow the directions given below.

From the M60

Leave at junction 8 and follow the A6144 towards Carrington/Partington.

After 5.7 miles turn left at the roundabout onto Moss Lane. Follow Moss Lane for 1.5 miles and turn right onto Red House Lane. At the cross roads, turn right onto School Lane and the venue is located on your left.

From the M6 heading South

Leave at junction 20A for the M56 East Bound.

At junction 7 join the A56 towards Altrincham. After 3 miles left onto Sinderland Road. Turn left onto Whitehouse Lane after 2 miles. This road becomes School Lane and the venue is located on your left.

From the M6 heading North

Leave at junction 19 and join the new bypass towards Altrincham. This not yet on Sat Nav. Leave the bypass at the Altrincham junction and follow signs for A56 Altrincham. After 3 miles turn left onto Sinderland Road. Turn left onto Whitehouse Lane after 2 miles. This road becomes School Lane and the venue is located on your left.

Venue

You may arrive at the venue from 8am. First rider set off at 9am, last horse 10.30am.

The venue is grass field on a livery yard. Please tidy up after your horse. There are no toilets. There will be a catering van.

The Route

You will follow the Trans Pennine Trail for the majority of the route, some quiet lanes and some

bridlepaths.

PLEASE DO NOT EXCEED TROT ON THE TRANS PENNINE TRAIL.

You will encounter pedestrians, cyclists and dogs walkers on the trail.

You will all pass through Dairyhouse Farm twice – please WALK through the yard and past their

dressage arena.

For those of you doing the longer route you will cross a bridge over the M60, this is quite high but

extremely safe and enclosed. You will also ride under 2 bridges, these are quite low down so please take care if you are on a larger horse. Before you reach the Water Park you will ride parallel with the tram lines for approximately 400m, please take care for low hanging branches along this track.

Once you reach the Water Park please ride in single file and pass any anglers in walk. Take care going through the car park that leads you out to the other side of the water park.

The route will be marked with a combination of arrows on the ground and tape.
