Leading the Plumbing and Heating category in Buildbase , developing the category sales and margin performance through the implementation of an agreed Category plan in selected Buildbase branches
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities for this role
  • To promote and expand the P&H commercial agenda to generate increased revenue and sustainable growth through the existing Buildbase branch network.
  • To keep abreast of trends and market conditions, providing insight and actions to develop the P&H category in Buildbase.
  • To conceptualise, analyse and drive forward new initiatives to generate new revenue streams, improve profitability and efficiencies.
  • To undertake investment and competitor analysis, making recommendations to the senior leadership team on potential commercial opportunities which have the potential to accelerate business growth.
  • To be the direct liaison and key point of contact in Buildbase for strategic P&H suppliers in addition to building and maintaining profitable relationships with key stakeholders.
  • To work with the Marketing team to develop specific marketing campaigns and promotions for the business to incentivise existing customers and generate an increase in new trading accounts.
  • To support Grafton Supply Chain Solutions with the P&Hrelated sectors

Skills and Experience Required
  • Extensive experience of P&H in a sales or regional role
  • A proven track record of creating and implementing category strategies, thereby driving forward profitable sales
  • Proven track record of driving business change.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set with strong strategic, creative and market awareness.
  • Excellent commercial acumen coupled with a practical approach
  • Effective at developing and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
  • Excellent networking, collaboration and relationship skills.
  • Ability to influence and challenge others at all levels in the business. Possesses gravitas
  • Vibrant and energetic self-starter, combined with sound analytical skills and ability to thrive under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial / budgeting processes
