Tips For Creating Glogs

Instructions for logging in:

1. Go to your teacher’s folder in StuShare and open the file titled Glogster.

2. Locate the Glog link that has been assigned to you.

3, Click on the URL for your link that will take you to Glogster.

4. Click on login.

5. Copy the nickname provided for your link in StuShare and paste it into the nickname box on the login page.

6. Copy the password provided for your link in StuShare and paste it into the password box on the login page.

7. Click on Login.

Instructions for locating and saving images, videos, and audio files:

1. Create a folder in your “My Documents” file and title it GLOG.

2.. Find pictures for your Glog using Google images or other resources. Right click on the chosen pictures and select SAVE. Browse to locate your GLOG folder. Give the picture a title that identifies it for you and save the picture into your GLOG folder.

3. Find short videos for your GLOG.

  • If the video provides a button to download the video, click on the button and choose SAVE. Browse to select your GLOG folder. Add a title for the video and save.
  • If the video does not provide a download button, open a WORD document. Copy the URL for the video and paste it onto your WORD document with a title for the video. Save the WORD document into your GLOG folder.

4. Find podcasts, interviews with experts, etc. for your GLOG.

  • If the audio file provides a button to download the file click on the button and choose SAVE. Browse to select your GLOG folder. Add a title for the audio and save.
  • If the audio does not provide a download button, open a WORD document. Copy the URL for the audio file and paste it onto your WORD document with a title for the audio. Save the WORD document into your GLOG folder.

5. Use Soundzabound from the library homepage to find sound effects etc.

Locate the file you wish to use. Click on the download button to the right of

the file description and select Save. Browse to locate your GLOG folder. Give the audio clip a title that identifies it for you and save the it into your GLOG folder.

2. You may preview your video by clicking on the Preview button. Then return to edit.

3. To save your Glog, click on Save and Publish. You must select at least one topic category for an appropriate tag. Save and publish.
