You will now have access to the FTP Manager icon under the Website Tools Section

You can mouse over the graphic and click the Launch button. The FTP manager will open in new window

The need may arise where you will want to have certain people to only have access to a specific subfolder of your account and not all files and folders. To accomplish this we will create an FTP user and specify what folder they have access to.

Once you are in the FTP Manager section you will see the following screen below:

Once you click the Create button you will have options to specify the username you wish to create, the password for the user you create and what folder they have access to.

You can enter the username you wish to have for the FTP user. If you enter a Username of say companya the actual username that we be used by company a will be companya.yourdomain.com. Note the period as the separating symbol not the @ symbol
You will then be required to enter to fill in both the Set Password and Confirm Password fields following the criteria listed below:

Finally in the directory list you will select which folder they can have access to. The user will only have access to one folder and all subfolders below it. Only the Master FTP user has access to all subfolders on the account.

If the folder you wish the FTP user to access is below the /public level you can double click on the /public folder to go down a directory level and select the folder you wish your FTP user to have access to.

Notice that when you select a subfolder it auto-populates the information into the Directory List field.

You can now click on the Create button to get the FTP user added to your account.

When the FTP user uses the credentials that you have provided them they will automatically go to the specific folder you have given them permission to see and anything below said folder. They cannot choose to go up a level to see other folders you may not want them to have access to.

Congratulations you have now successfully added an FTP user on your account!
