Press visa is issued for journalists and representatives of foreign media and press who intend to travel to Iran for purposes relating to their profession for a specific period or events.

The Press visa procedure is completely different than other visas and will be done through

Iranian embassy/consulate abroad

Ministry of Culture and Islamic GuidanceMinistry of Foreign Affairs Islamic Republic of IRANin Iran.

Applicant must contact the local Iranian Consular section and send the required documents below trough mail or email to the Iranian embassy/consulate [as Consular section asks] and email a copy of required documents to Petroleum Conference-Iran 2018's office to do the necessary paperwork in Iran.

Required documents for Applicant(through Iranian embassy/consulate abroad):

1-Completed visa application-form 1

2-Completed press visa application -form 2 (Form 383).

  • Fully completed application must be typed and signed.
  • Applications with incomplete documents or incompletely filled or unsigned forms will be returned.

3-Original & Copy of Passport

  • Copy of passport pages should include the applicant's identification pages, stamp seals of legal residency in country of origin and airports departure andarrival.)
  • Passport must be valid at least for sixmonthsand have two blank pages.

4-A copy of health and accident insurance, valid under visa period.

5-Two current color photos without glasses taken within the past six months in passport format (3 x 4) in white background.

  • Color photos should be taken during the last 6 months. Black and white photos or old one will not be accepted.

6-The payment receipt for[pressvisa fee] paid into Iranian consulate or embassy's Bank Account.

  • The Applicant must contact The local Iranian Consular section for fee and consulate or embassy's Bank Account
  • Payment in cash is not acceptable.
  • Fees are not refundable.

7-A "return envelope" with address and adequate prepaid postage to cover cost of registered mail.

Important notes:

- The Consular section may call the applicant for interview, if it isnecessary.

-Required copies must be clear and legible on A4 paper.

-Local Consulate/Embassy account number to pay the fees

- Do not forget, please, a "return envelope" with address and adequate prepaid postage to cover cost of registered mail, even if you visit the consular section.

- We shall make every effort to process your application as quickly as possible but we must strongly advise you to check that all required documentation has been submitted. Incomplete applications are subject todelays.

Regarding visa applicants before be issued, Embassy do not have any commitment for bought or reserved airline tickets.

Organizer's Office will provide the invitation letter and follow the necessary procedures in Iran fromMinistry of Culture and Islamic GuidanceMinistry of Foreign Affairs Islamic Republic of IRANat the same time.

They will check all the paperwork with local Iranian embassy/consulate abroad and present the letter of invitation we provide to the Consular section and allow them for visa issuance.

Note: It is important forMinistry of Foreign Affairs Islamic Republic of IRANto know to which Iranian embassy/consulate they should present the letter of invitation. (Country & City)

4-Copy of the Journalist ID card or proof of mission from respected Media company.

5-Reference number fee: 66 Eurosfor pressvisa paperwork in Iran

Note:

  • Payment in cash is not acceptable.
  • Fees are not refundable.
  • The Petroleum Conference-Iran 2018 won't let any journalist to pass the event's area if they don't have a press visa or require the needed documents.
