Post: Administrator- Opportunity and Change

Status: Fixed term for 33 months

Hours: 7.5hours per week

Salary: £ 17,200 pro rata

Base: NNRF, The Sycamore Centre, Nottingham, NG3 4NB

Role: Supporting the administration of the Opportunity and Change contract

Responsible to: Team Leader

This project is jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • To take responsibility for ensuring that the required quantitative and qualitative monitoring for continuous funding is prepared, collated and sent by the due dates in paper and electronic form
  • To keep concise, accurate and well organised records of the different areas of work
  • To ensure that relevant financial records are accurate and available for monthly returns
  • To input to participant database and external web based databases and run off reports when requested.

General Responsibilities

  • Participate in own supervision and appraisal process and attend staff and team meetings as necessary
  • Any other duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities of the post, subject to the proviso that any changes of a permanent nature will be incorporated into the Job Description in specific terms, following consultation with the postholder.

  • Accurate financial records are submitted monthly and quarterly
  • Contribute to maintaining audit scores

Person Specification

Experience

  • Experience of grant monitoring
  • Experience of supervising and supporting volunteers (desirable)

Knowledge

  • Understands relationship between targets and budgets

Skills

  • Excellent spoken and written skills
  • Strong IT skills including databases (experience working with AdvicePro is an advantage)
  • Is clearly understood verbally. Projects a friendly, helpful tone at all times, using appropriate language and tone.
  • Passes on information accurately and succinctly.
  • Reads, understands and follows procedures and instructions.
  • Keeps up to date with paperwork and completes documentation neatly and accurately, in a format others can understand
  • Consistently producing quick and accurate work to a high standard
  • Adequate money handling skills
  • Uses a calculator to add, subtract, multiply, divide and work out percentages correctly
  • Copies numerical data to another format with minimal mistakes
  • Accurate completion of monitoring data
