GIFT AID DONATIONS

In April 2000 the Government introduced changes to Gift Aid legislation to allow charities to reclaim tax on all donations that have been made to them by tax-payers, whatever the amount. This replaces the Covenant process that has been in use up to now.

IT MEANS THAT EVERY TIME YOU MAKE A DONATION TO THE LYTTON PLAYERS, WE CAN RECOVER A FURTHER 20% FROM THE INLAND REVENUE!

LYTTON FRIEND’S SUBSCRIPTIONS CAN ALSO COUNT AS GIFT AID DONATIONS.

It is very straightforward. All you need to do sign the Gift Aid Declaration below.

It will remain valid – until you revoke it!

Do please help us get a little more income at no extra cost to yourself.

I wish the Stevenage Lytton Players to treat all donations I have made since 6 April 2000, and all donations I make from the date of this declaration, until further notice, as Gift Aid Donations.

2. You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying the Treasurer.
3. Remember to notify the Treasurer if you no longer pay income tax or capital gains tax equal to the tax the Stevenage Lytton Players reclaims on your donations.
4. If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can claim further tax relief in your self-assessment tax return.
5. Please notify the Treasurer if your change your name or address
6. We will discover nothing about your financial affairs from this process (apart from the inference that you pay tax). All we will get is a cheque from the Inland Revenue for the total tax reclaimed.
