THE CHIEF SAYS

We had our first official Planning Meeting for the 2005 AMM at the DoubleTree Hotel. In addition to a fine turnout of members from our Chapter, we also had CW5 Don Marquis of the Silver Chapter at Ft. Huachuca, CW4 Jody Reidenhour from the Phoenix Road Runner Chapter, and CW4 Tony Ambriz of the Southern California Chapter.

Assignments were made to gather information for many of the possible spouse programs we may offer our guests this fall.

Our Webkeeper CW3R Michael Turner is working with National to offer electronic registration and payment, and also putting together a draft registration and trip selection form for the Newsliner. Stay tuned for updates. Vin

OUR DEPLOYED MEMBERS

Gee Two reports that Scott Kirtley is back INCONUS and living in Florida. Wo1 Jeff Whitbeck is spending his year at Ft Huachuca instructing newbees. HELP WANTED

USAWOA is seeking applicants for the position of Executive Directorof the only association representing Army Warrant Officers and the families on a world-wide basis. We solicit all members' recommendations and ideas. We would like to look within our ranks to identify those individuals that would be good candidates to fill the position of Executive Director. There are many good candidates in the DC area that we will be contacting. What better person to represent Warrant Officers than a retired Warrant Officer who has “been there and done that”?

ROTC MEDAL STATUS

Photos of our ROTC medals have been posted on our website for the world to see. Immediate Past President Ron James is our POC and asks that we all pass the word to our friends in other chapters to initiate a ROTC recognition program using our beautiful medals and at the same time keep our Eagle Rising Heritage alive and well.

MILITARY HUMOR

PVT Murphy is in reality MSG Mark Baker, an active duty NCO serving with the Office of the Chief, Military Intelligence at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.

Rumor has it that this is what our Secretary Lindy thinks of his computer:

However Gee Two tells us that the right hand picture is a truer image of Lindy at work for USAWOA.
