Foundations and Essentials Directors have strong

administrative and leadership gifts.

Challenge Directors love learning and teaching, while

influencing and equipping the next generation to

fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.

A Program Director

A Classical Conversations Director should:

· Lead under authority – This is Leigh’s program; therefore, a director should

honor Leigh’s intentions and directions rather than developing her “own” CC

program. When initiating new ideas, she should contact her Support Manager

following the process to communicate them, and work to benefit the whole

CC program. When communicating on the portal, the Director should not be

divisive or communicate information contrary to direction from Program

Managers. If the Director has a concern with direction or material presented in

the CC programs, the director should communicate privately with the

Program Manger and his or her Support Manager while remembering that

Classical Conversations is the vision and responsibility that God has given

to Leigh.

· Completely fulfill Director responsibilities – including producing timely

paperwork, attending training, promoting CC products and services,

communicating with CC, and staying updated by reading CC materials and

visiting the Directors’ and Essentials’ websites.

· Lead others well – In addition to running the program as intended, fulfilling

the responsibilities of the director, and promoting the products and services,

she also leads and inspires others to do the same. She is a leader within CC by

including other directors and her state management team in activities that she

plans. These activities may include Mock Trial, Spring Protocol, and

additional trainings. She also assists new directors with her knowledge

and experience.

· Communicate effectively – The CC Director communicates professionally,

with both those in CC and those outside of CC. This includes replying to emails

in a timely manner, following through on family inquiries, passing on

appropriate Corporate Communication, and providing input when asked. The

Director should copy his or her SM on communications with other

corporate staff.

· Respect others – In an environment where there is much growth and many

interactions, there can be differences of opinion which can lead to discord. A

CC Director is one who is known for speaking well of others and our programs.

She also handles conflict in a biblical manner.

A Program Director Should

Listen

The first to plead his case seems just, until another comes and examines him.

Proverbs 18:17

He who gives an answer before he hears, it is a folly and shame to him.

Proverbs 18:13

Seek Godly Counsel

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but the wise man is he who listens

to counsel.

Proverbs 12:15

Grow in Christ-likeness

A man’s pride will bring him low, but a humble spirit will obtain honor.

Proverbs 29:23

Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 27:17

Respond not React

There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the

wise brings healing. Proverbs 12:18

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:2

He who guards his mouth and his tongue, guards his soul from troubles.

Proverbs 21:23

He who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor, than he who flatters with

the tongue. Proverbs 28:23

Be Generous

There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, and there is one who

withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want.

Proverbs 11:24
