Dear Family,
Since 1967 when the idea of a Salter Family Reunion was first conceived, the Lord has continued to bless our reunion gatherings to see 15 years into the new Millennium. And, for this we are grateful. As you know, the reunion has not been held in the Chicago area for almost 20 years and we are enthusiastically engaged in planning an exciting reunion that will be unforgettable in every way and worth the 20 year wait! Chicago is a world class city with renowned museums, parks, sports teams, legendary music venues and excellent restaurants. And, while many of you are not strangers to our great city, if you care to refresh yourself on all there is to do here, check out this website for more detailed information:
Our theme for this year’s reunion is: “Generational Blessings: Bridging Our Blessings to Our Youth…Continuing the Legacy”. We ask that you please encourageALL age groups in your immediate family to attend. Our plan is to have something for everyone and a wonderful time for all!
Our humble prayer for this reunion is that we hold on to our generational blessings until these blessing take hold on our future generations…. our youth, so that they too may reap and value the Salter / Saulter legacy of family love, strength and pride… where sorrows divide and joys are multiplied… Amen.

Friday Evening: Meet and Greet: 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm-Holiday Inn Conference Center
Saturday Morning: Business Meeting and Chicago Bus Tour
Business Meeting: 9:00 am – 10:30 am (for those not taking the bus tour)
Chicago Bus Tour- Departs from Holiday Inn Matteson at 9:45 and Returns at 2:00 PM, making two scheduled stops at the world famous Magnificent Mile and Navy Pier.
Drop off arrangements can be made for family members wanting to attend the family cookoutafter the bus tour.
***Please note that bus rental/tour is contingent upon participation.
Saturday Afternoon: Noon – 4 Family BBQ / Pool Party
Hosted at the home of Donna and Spencer and Leak Jr.
Featuring: A jamming DJ, indoor pool, basketball court, yard games and a host of fun activities and other surprises.
Saturday Evening Banquet: 6:00 p.m.– Midnight
The banquet will feature a fabulous meal along with information on family entrepreneurs, young authors, etc. and briefpresentations from ourLegacy Family Businesses and an invitation to mentorship for our youth, followed by a wonderful program…be prepared to laugh and be entertained.
