The Auction Shall Be Subject to the Rules Announced the Day of the Sale

NOTICE OF TAX SALE

Notice is hereby given pursuant to T.C.A. § 67-5-2501, et seq. that pursuant to orders entered on August 31, 2012, by the Chancery Court for the State of Tennessee, Sumner County, in Tax Civil Action No. 1-158, that if the total amount due for taxes, interest, penalty, statutory attorney's fees, and costs for those suits consolidated therein are not paid by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9th, 2012 , the Clerk and Master shall auction and sell said parcel(s) of land described in the list set forth below to the highest and best bidder for cash.

The sale and auction shall be held at the Sumner County Administration Building, Commission Chambers, 355 N. Belvedere Road, Gallatin, Tennessee 37066, on Thursday, November 15, 2012, beginning at 1:00 PM (local time),and shall continue from day to day until all such parcel(s) are sold. The purchaser(s) shall be liable for payment of taxes assessed against the property beginning with the years 2005, 2006, 2007 (where applicable) and continuing so long as the purchaser(s) shall own the property. Starting bids at the sale shall be in an amount necessary to bring all applicable city and county taxes current through tax year 2010.

The auction shall be subject to the rules announced the day of the sale.

If there are any excess funds remaining from the proceeds of said sale after distribution of all taxes and costs as specified above, a reference will be made to pay any full year's taxes, interest and penalty due and payable to Sumner County on the date of sale and any liens held by Sumner County and the cities involved in this litigation. Costs shall be paid out of the proceeds of said sale, unless paid in full prior to the tax auction. All sales shall be subject to the statutory right of redemption pursuant to T.C.A. § 67-5-2701 et seq., and shall further be subject to any demolition lien, vegetation lien, or other liens held by Plaintiff, which may or may not be of record in the Register of Deeds Office of Sumner County. Liens held by Tenncare or the Internal Revenue Service may exist and are the responsibility of the successful bidder.
