ATTENDANCE POLICY:ATTENDANCE EVERY DAY IS VERY IMPORTANT. A STUDENT MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE 90% OF THE TIME TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR THECLASS. SEE STUDENT HANDBOOK

TARDY POLICY: As stated in the Life School Student and Parent Handbook:

  1. At LifeSchool a student is tardy if they are not in their seat of desk, ready to go to work at the time the tardy bell rings. If a student misses more than 15 minutes of a class, he/she will be counted absent from that class.
  2. Excessive tardiness will be treated as defiant and disrespectful behavior and may result in a disciplinary referral.

CLASSROOM SAFETY: STUDENTS MUST ADHERE TO LAB SAFETY GUIDELINES PERTAINING TO CLASSROOM SAFETY IN PHYSICS. STUDENTS MUST PERFORM LABS TO PASS THIS CLASS. THE STUDENT WILL BE PROHIBITED FROM THE LABS IFANY OF THE RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED. PLEASE SIGN THE LAB SAFETY CONTRACT.

• Act responsibly at all times in the laboratory.

• Follow all instructions given, orally or in writing, by my teacher.

• Perform only those activities assigned and approved by my teacher.

• Protect my eyes, face, hands, and body by wearing proper clothing and using protective equipment

provided by my school.

• Carry out good housekeeping practices as instructed by my teacher.

• Know the location of safety and first aid equipment in the laboratory.

• Notify my teacher immediately of an emergency.

• NEVER work alone in the laboratory.

• NEVER eat or drink in the laboratory unless instructed to do so by my teacher.

• Handle living organisms or preserved specimens only when authorized by my teacher, and

then, with respect.

• NEVER enter or work in a supply area unless instructed to do so and supervised by my

teacher.
