Notes of Guidance

Before filling in the Application Form, you are strongly advised to read carefully the notes below.

1. A candidate may apply for one, two or all the four courses offered. He should write the title of the course applied for, in order of preference.
2. Information on the course content of the courses being offered are available at IST or on our website and candidates are advised to take note of these, to ensure that the course for which they are applying, suit their needs.
3. Together with each application form duly filled in, you should submit a photostat copy of each of your birth and educational certificates. Original certificates should NOT be submitted at the time of application but you have to produce them at the time of registration in case you are selected.
4. Candidates holding the "Brevet de Technicien" or "Baccalauréat Scientifique ou Technique" qualifications must submit a photostat copy of their last end-of-term report.
5. For candidates holding the HSC/GCE A-level qualifications, preference will be given to those having Mathematics and Physics at Principal or Advanced level.
6. The attention of candidates who are in employment is invited to section 10 of the application form. If this section is left blank, it will be assumed that the candidate is not in any employment. If the candidate is employed, he should ask his employer to indicate whether he undertakes to release him to follow the course. This should be done prior to the closing date and under no circumstances will a late application be considered.
7. Any other relevant information may be furnished on a separate sheet of paper if necessary.

9. (a) Completed application forms together with all supporting documents and the application fee of Rs 200 (non-refundable) should be submitted in person at the Institute on or before the 27th June 2003.

(b)Applications received after the closing date or not supported by relevant documents will not be considered.

(c)Photostat copies of certificates and other documents submitted will not be returned to candidates.

(d)Two passport size photos must be submitted at the time of application

11 (a)A registration fee of Rs 1,000 (non-refundable) is payable for the preparatory courses upon registration in September, together with an insurance fee of Rs. 50 .

(b)The following fees are payable per annum at the end of January:

(c)50% of the registration and examination fees may be refunded to those who leave by the end of February. No refund will be made to students who leave after the end of February.

(d)Personnal cheques are not accepted.

NOTICE EXPLICATIVE DESTINEE AUX CANDIDATS

Il vous est fortement recommandé de lire attentivement la présente notice avant de remplir le dossier d'inscription.

1. Vous pouvez soumettre votre candidature pour toutes les spécialités. Indiquez les spécialités choisies par ordre de préférence.
2. Des informations concernant les différentes formations sont à votre disposition à l'Institut et sur son site web. Il vous est fortement conseillé de les consulter, afin de vous assurer de votre choix.
3. Vous devez joindre au dossier une photocopie de votre bulletin de naissance ainsi que toute attestation ou certificat justifiant votre niveau d'études. Ne joignez pas d'originaux; vous aurez à les produire que lors de l'inscription définitive en septembre.
4. Titulaires du Brevet de Technicien ou d'un Baccalauréat Scientifique ou Technique, vous devez également fournir une photocopie du bulletin de notes du troisième trimestre de votre dernière année.
5. Pour les titulaires du HSC / GCE A Level, il est précisé qu'il sera donné préférence à ceux qui ont comme sujets principaux les mathématiques et la physique.
6. Les candidats sponsorisés par leur entreprise, devront remplir la section 10 du formulaire d'admission. Vous devez avoir l'autorisation de votre employeur pour suivre la formation avant la date de fin de retour des dossiers.
7. Vous pouvez joindre au dossier toute autre information que vous jugez utile.
8. La formation à l'Institut Supérieur de Technologie est dispensée en français.
9. Les formulaires d'admission reçus incomplets ou après le 27 juin 2003 ne seront pas considérés.
10. Le formulaire d'admission ainsi que les différents documents joints resteront la propriété de l'Institut.
11. Deux photos seront jointes au formulaire d’inscription.
12. L'Institut pourra procéder à une audition des candidats.
13. Frais de scolarité:

a)Des frais de dossier, non remboursables, de Rs200 vous seront demandés à la remise du dossier.

b)Pour le cycle préparatoire, des frais de scolarité de Rs1000, (non-remboursables) vous seront demandés à l'inscription en septembre.

c)Les frais ci-dessous seront à régler chaque année au mois de janvier:

-Frais d’enregistrement: Rs 3500

-Frais d’examensRs 600

-AssuranceRs 50

-Student CouncilRs 75

d)50% des frais d’enregistrements et d’examens seront remboursés si l’étudiant quitte l’Institut avant la fin du mois de février.

e)Les chèques personnels ne sont pas acceptés.
