TAX LEVY ORDINANCE
ROAD DISTRICT
ORDINACE No._2017-18
An ordinance levying taxes for all road purposes for Burton Township Road District, McHenry County, Illinois, for the tax year 2017, collectable in 2018.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Trustees of BurtonTownship,
McHenry County, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION1: That the Highway Commissioner of Burton Township Road District on December 12, 2017does hereby determine and declare that the sum of TwoHundred Twenty Six Thousand, Three Hundred Sixty Fourdollars and No cents ($226,364.00) are hereby levied upon all property subject to taxation within the Road District as that property is assessed and equalized,
In order to meet and defray all the necessary expenses and liabilities of the Road District as required by statute or voted by the people in accordance with the law for the purposes as:
Road and Bridge,
Permanent Road,
Equipment and Building,
Road Damage,
SECTION 2: That the amount levied for each object and purpose shall be as follows:

SECTION 3: That the Town Clerk shall make and file with the CountyClerk of said County of McHenry, on or before the last Tuesday in December, a duly certified copy of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That the Board of Trustees does hereby certify that the amount levied herein is necessary to be raised by taxation for road purposes for Burton Township Road District.
SECTION 5: That if any section, subdivision, or sentence of this ordinance shall for any reason be held invalid or to be unconstitutional, such finding shall not effect the validity of the remaining portion of this ordinance.
SECTION 6: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its adoption as provided by law.
ADOPTED this 12th day of December, 2017 pursuant to a roll call vote by the Board of Trustees of Burton Township, McHenry County, Illinois.
