15 Year Olds Playing Open Age Football During The Season

Anyone reaching 16 during a playing season eligible for open age football as opposed to sitting on the sidelines for a few months until they await their 16th birthday.

Problem is that with no Under 17 or Under 18 specific female football provision, players are being lost to the game until they wait until they have reached age 16.

Conditions

Must have been an Under 16 team in the previous season

Must have the minority of the squad reaching 16 during the year.

Coaches of a team with Under 16 players must have Safeguarding Children and DBS check.

Actions

Paul to complete form to go to the Sussex County FA > The FA.

Level 1 Coaching Qualification

Every Coach in the League should be a minimum of Level 1 FA Coaching qualification and join The FA Licensed Coaches Club and ensure that they have a free FA card to identify themselves.

Actions

Clubs to be contacted with the meeting outputs

Clubs to be contacted to advise that they should be Charter Standard within two years.

League to hold a workshop event for coaches/managers on how to run an adult team. What does the League want from it? What standards do we expect from Clubs?

League to hold a Respect workshop event for coaches/managers/referees.

Respect Marshalls

Not a massive issue with Respect compared with other Leagues so not sure if there is an issue at all.

Actions

Promote Respect on social media.

Create our own League Respect video using players in the competition.

Remind anyone to report us details (positive/negative).

Clubs when advised of a low mark to be directed to Respect resources.
