IN HOUSEHOLDS,2009

TheSurveyonFinalEnergyConsumptioninHouseholdsisconductedforthefirsttime.It aimsatthecollectionofdataregardingenergyconsumptionwith respect to thedemographiccharacteristicsofhouseholds, thetype of finalendusecategories (heating, cooling, cooking, hotwater, electricalappliances) andtheenergysources (fuels, electricity, renewable) thathouseholdsuse in Cyprus.

TheSurveyispartlyfundedbytheStatisticalOffice of the European Union (Eurostat). The questionnaire has been developed on the basis of a common paper of recommended definitions and methodological guidelines that has been preparedby Eurostat. Theobjectiveofthesurveyisto furtherdevelopenergy statistics, within the framework of the Regulation (EC) No. 1099/2008.

Thecollectionofdata is carried out in accordance with the Statistics Law, No. 15(I)/2000. Refusal to provide the information requested or submission of fake, incomplete or inaccurate data renders the respondent liable to the consequences of the Law.

The Statistical Service is obliged under the Statistics Law to treat all information obtained as confidential. Your responses will be used solely for statistical purposes and any information publicly released will be in such a form that does not personally identify you.
