REGULAR MEETING

The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 9:00 A.M. in the Boardroom of the Hamilton County Courthouse, Webster City, Iowa.

CALL TO ORDER:Called to order by Chair David Young.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Board led the Pledge of Allegiance.

MEMBERS PRESENT:David Young, Doug Bailey, and Wesley Sweedler.

OTHERS PRESENT: Pat Powers, Shelby Kroona, Dan Waid, Joni Hilpipre and Kim Schaa.

AGENDA:Motion Bailey, second Sweedler to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

MINUTES:Motion Sweedler, second Bailey to approve the minutes of the January 13, 2015 meeting. Motion carried.

CLAIMS:General Basic Fund $122,549.71; General Basic (Public Health) Fund $33,783.64; General Basic (Conservation) Fund $18,341.83; General Supplemental Fund $13,286.70; General Supplemental Public Health Sub Fund $2,024.03; General Supplemental Conservation Sub Fund $1,100.16; MH-DD Services Fund $4,922.56; Rural Basic Fund $66,840.58; Recorders Records Management Fund $1,636.99; Local Option Sales Tax Fund $43,117.00; Secondary Roads Fund $97,098.80. Total $404,702.00. Drainage Fund $10,098.41. Motion Bailey, second Sweedler to approve payment of claims. Motion carried.

REPORTS:TREASURER’S SEMI-ANNUAL REPORT & SETTLEMENT OF ASSETS: Motion Bailey, second Sweedler to accept the Treasurer’s Semi-Annual Report and Settlement of Assets. Motion carried.

QUARTERLY REPORTS: Motion Sweedler, second Bailey to approve the Quarterly Reports for the quarter ending December 31, 2014 for the Auditor and Recorder. Motion carried.

WEED COMMISSIONER’S REPORT: Motion Bailey, second Sweedler to approve the Weed Commissioner’s Report for 2014. Motion carried.

CONTRACTS/

AGREEMENTS: RELIANCE TELEPHONE CONTRACT: Motion Sweedler, second Bailey to approve said contract for inmate telephone service. Motion carried.

CULVERT PROJECT BRS-3875(601)—60-40: Motion Sweedler, second Bailey to award the bid to the apparent low bidder, Midwest Contracting LLC of Marshall, Minnesota in the amount of $303,631.45 and proceed to signing contract. Motion carried.

*RESOLUTION

2015-8:RESOLUTION 2015-8 TO REVISE HAMILTON COUNTY 2015 FIVE YEAR ROAD PLAN: Motion Bailey, second Sweedler to approve said resolution. Roll call vote: Sweedler, Bailey, and Young voting aye. Motion carried.

ADJOURN:Motion Sweedler, second Bailey to adjourn. Motion carried, meeting adjourned at 9:33 A.M.
