2) Describe yourself as a person: What are your hobbies and interests? How would your friends talk about you? Have you already spent time (alone) in a foreign country?

3) You will be spending 2 weeks living and having lessons with a small, intercultural group of students. What experience do you have working in a group? What do you like about working in groups? What do you find challenging? Is there anything others should know about you to make living together easier (e.g., certain phobias, special needs, etc.)?

Please read the information below carefully. Any questions can be answered in Marchwhen we meet for the interviews.

The Summer School will take place in Limerick / Ireland, at the University of Limerick. The travel dates are 23 July and 5 August; the course runs from 24 July to 4 August 2017.

Business English CommunicationAufbaumodul (6 credits)

The Aufbaumodul “Business English Communication” will start at the FH in Münster and finish at the University of Limerick in Ireland. You have to attend the classes in bothMünsterand Limerick; you cannot “choose” which part you want to attend (e.g., only coming to Limerick without doing the Münster part first). The course has the same content as the BEC course which is normally done at the FH, including all the assignments and the exam. Once completed, you will receive 6 ECTS for it.

Expectations

If you would like to experience life in an Irish town while being part of an international summer school, please apply. You should be open, friendly, a team player, and have a sense of humour (Irish are famous for their love of craic (=fun) !).

If you want to go on short trips on some afternoons or at the weekend or experience Limerick’s nightlife, feel free to do so, but please take the lessons and assignments seriously and make sure that your activities do not interfere with attending the lessons.

Costs

There are fixed costs of 450 Euros which cover the accommodation in Limerick (13 nights from 23 July to 5 August 2017), two dinners, one team activity, and a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher. These 450 Euros already include a “Zuschuss” of 150 Euros/student by the Faculty.

Students have to individually finance their transport to/from/within Ireland, any food and drinks (apart from the Welcome and Farewell dinner), and any extra expenses.
