  1. Upon successful login, please read the News Item titled: “Welcome to Summer School.” Please ensure to read instructions fully.
  1. At the bottom of the page, will be your course listing. Courses are listed under “MY COURSES.” You can also locate your course(s) at the top left of your web browser in the “Select a course…” drop down.
  1. Enter your e-Learning course and email your teacher. Email your teacher a “hello” include your home phone number. As well, confirm your email address in your account settings.
  1. Students will also have access to a Student Orientation Course under “MY COURSES.” This course will provide a quick introduction to some of the tools and features of your e-learning course. You will learn best by doing so do not be afraid to try. The more you use this orientation course, the easier it will be to find your way around.

In addition to an introduction, this course will also serve as a quick access guide to e-learning. Each activity deals with specific tools of the vLE (that's the Virtual Learning Environment– your online classroom!) so please do not hesitate to return here if you forget how to do something.

You will also find a module called "Video Tutorials" in the Table of Contents. This is a collection of short 'how-to' videos that will take you through some of the basic functions of the vLE. When you have completed these four activities, you will have a sense of how the online environment works and be ready to tackle your online course! Don't forget, however, that your teacher is there to guide you through the course and the process of learning online – so don't hesitate to connect with her or him if you are experiencing any difficulties or just need a bit of coaching.

Please note: For TCDSB students, please attempt to log into your course within 24 – 48 hours of registering with your Guidance counsellor. The goal is to resolve login/technical issues before classes.
