1. SunnysideSchool District All-American Awards
Information: The All‐American Student Awards program, developed by the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association, is now in its 19th year of honoring two graduating students from each school in the SunnysideSchool District. The late Dewayne “Ben” Bennett and Manuel Herrera Jr. are the founders of this program that began in 1993.
The recipients of this award are recognized for their community involvement and the model behavior they exhibit at school and in their everyday lives. These students are honored with a banquet and awards ceremony that their family and friends can share in. They are role models who will pass on their virtues to fellow students of current and future generations. U.S. representatives, state senators, the mayor, chief of police, Cox Communications, Pima Community College, Tucson Fire Department, and many dedicated community members present these awards to each student. Congratulations to all the recipients of the All‐American Student Awards.

2. Las Adelitas Arizona Mother's Day breakfast
Information: Las Adelitas Arizona is a non-profit organization that Regina co-founded which advocates for the engagement of Latinas in the political process. They are hosting a menudo breakfast fundraiser this Saturday to celebrate the "Adelitas" in our everyday lives. Tickets are $15 each and go to help fund advocacy, engagement, and leadership development for Latina women in our community.

3. Jell-O Wrestling Benefit Auction and Extravaganza
Information: The 25th Anniversary Reno Gannon Memorial with all proceeds going to the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF). Diana Rhoades of Ward 1 will be wrestling Michael Keith of the Downtown Partnership.
