This email is only a suggestion and can/should be reviewed and edited as you see fit and according to the parent roll-out timeline and method you’ve chosen.Please note that any section highlighted in yellow requires your input or choice.

As a reminder, [School Name] has partnered with NextTier Education to help students plan their futures after high school. The [School Name] counseling department will use NextTier with students to access information and create personalized task lists to help explore college and career options, navigate the admissions process, and find scholarships and financial aid.

[If choosing in-class activation method for students (recommended): “During their advisory period on (enter date) your student will be activating her/his account. Ask your student about NextTier when they get home that day!”]

[If choosing email activation method for students (only if class time unavailable): “On (enter date) your student will receive an email from NextTier with their login instructions. Ask your student if they received the email, logged in, and activated their account.”]

[Insert if choosing to have NextTier auto create accounts for parents (recommended): “An account has been created for you as well. You will receive an email from NextTier with your login instructions on (date). With your account, you’ll be able to follow your student’s progress and access information on careers, colleges, and financial aid to help your student and to make recommendations.]

[Insert if choosing for NextTier not to auto create parent accounts: “You can create an account at NextTier.com, and then connect with your student to help them navigate life after high school.With a NextTier account of your own, you’ll be able to follow your student’s progress and access information on careers, colleges, and financial aid to help your student and to make recommendations.Once your student is active on NextTier, we’ll send you instructions on how you can create your own account and connect with them.”]
