Description: / The aim of this program is to support a graduate student or post-doctoral researcher for their presentation of an abstract at a national or international conference.
Eligibility Criteria: / The Applicant must:
  1. Be a Trainee Supporter, Associate Supporter, or Member of the CCIC.
  2. Have a supervisor who is a Member of the CCIC.
  3. Be a registered trainee at a University at the time of application or a post-doctoral researcher or fellow.
  4. Be a Canadian citizen or affiliated with a Canadian Institution.
  5. Be engaged in endocannabinoid or cannabinoid related research.
  6. Special consideration will be given to applications for attending cannabinoid focused meetings (ICRS, IACM, Gordon Conference on Cannabinoids).
  7. Applicants may only make one application per year per CCIC award.

  1. Application form and Required Conference Information – fully completed.
  2. A copy of the abstract.
  3. A letter signed by the applicant and his/her supervisor confirming the relationship and that the applicant will present the abstract submitted.
  4. A document confirming the acceptance of the abstract for presentation at a conference. If this is not available at the time of application, a document showing proof of submission is acceptable in lieu; however, proof of acceptance must be sent to the CCIC at least 60 days before the start of the conference.

Responsibilities: /
  1. Funding decisions will be communicated to applicants within 4 weeks of the application deadline.
  2. No feedback will be provided to successful or unsuccessful applicants.
  3. Successful applications will be acknowledged by the CCIC on;
  4. the consortium website (wwwccic.net),
  5. the annual report, and
  6. other printed or presented materials.
  7. Successful applicants may be contacted for additional information related to their acknowledgement by the CCIC.
  8. Funding recipients are required to recognize the CCIC as a source of funding.
  9. Successful applicants will recognize support from the CCIC by including the CCIC logo and name on their poster and/or presentation.
