HIGHER DEGREE BY RESEARCH
PROGRESS REPORT

STEPS FOR COMPLETING THIS FORM:

  1. Candidate to complete Section 1 electronically then email to the Research Services Officer ()
  2. The Research Services Officer will print the form and forward (in hardcopy) to the Supervisor and then to the Associate Supervisor to complete their sections.
  3. The Research Services Officer will scan the form with completed Sections 1, 2 & 3 and email to the Candidate.
  4. The Candidate to view the comments made in sections 2 & 3 and confirms by email to the Research Services Officer that they agree with the comments made or respond to commentsmade if applicable.
  5. The Research Services Officer will then forward the form, confirmation (and response if applicable)in hardcopy to the Dean of Faculty and then to the Vice President (Administration & Research) for comment and recommendation.
  6. The completed progress reportis then presented to the Research Committeeto consider the recommendations made by the various officers.

If you have any confidential comments you wish to make regarding supervision, please submit them to the Vice President (Administration and Research) in a sealed envelope marked “Confidential” with your full name, student number and course name marked “Confidential Comments-Progress Report”. Please deliver separately to the Research Services office (telephone 02 4980 2121).
The completed Progress Report form must be forwarded to the Research Services office twice yearly no later than 30 April or 30 September.
