Appointment of New Fire Chief

Randall Bradley appointed as the next Fire Chief of the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District.

It is with great pleasure to announce that on Thursday evening April 10, 2014, the Board of Directors of the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District appointed Randall Bradley to the position of Fire Chief.

Mr. Bradley is an experienced and seasoned Fire Service leader. He has over 30 years of experience in the Fire service, including 12 years as the Fire Chief of three Fire Departments, the Lawrence Livermore Lab Fire Department, and the Moraga – Orinda Fire District and most recently with the Modesto Regional Fire Authority. He also served as Deputy Fire Chief of the Alameda County Fire Department for two years. He was licensed California State Paramedic for 8 years and he holds many professional certificates including Chief Fire Officer Certification and Master Fire Instructor III Certification. He is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association Standards Council, the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the Western Fire Chiefs association.

Mr. Bradley has a Bachelors Degree from the University of San Francisco, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.

He will be taking the reins of a Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District department that has 54 full time employees and 12 interns and part time support personnel. In addition he is also responsible to provide leadership to the Oakdale Fire District which has13 full time positions and 14 interns, and the City of Oakdale Fire Department which has 12.5 fulltime positions and 4 interns. Both of the Oakdale agency’s contract with Stanislaus Consolidated FPD for management oversight of their respective Fire departments.

This is an exciting time for the Fire District and its partners as the discussions regarding increased regionalization and resource sharing have continued to gain momentum. Chief Bradley’s knowledge and experience will be a great asset to the Board as opportunities to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of the Fire and EMS through regional agreements or partnership take shape.

Chief Bradley lives in Manteca, with his wife Dana. They have two grown children and one grandchild.
