Standard Format for Bid Notices

INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF OBSOLETE VEHICLES RECOMMENDED FOR DISPOSAL.

Disposal Reference number. MUK/SPLS/2008-09/00369

MakerereUniversity intends to sell to staff obsolete vehicles recommended for disposal. The obsolete vehicles are sold on an “as is, where is” basis and MakerereUniversity will have no further liability after sale.

MakerereUniversity now invites the university staff members for the purchase of obsolete vehicles by auction.

Disposal by auctioning will be conducted in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 of the Government of Uganda and is open to all bidders.

The detailed list of the obsolete vehicles can be accessed and downloaded from the universitywebsite and the university intranet.

Interested bidders may inspect the obsolete vehicles on Wednesday 1/07/09, Thursday 2/07/09 andFriday 3/07/09,during working hours, at the Estates Department and other respective

Locations of the obsolete vehicles.

The Estates Manager and/or the Transport Officer will be the contact persons in the Estates Department and any other respective locations for inspection.

Interested bidders may obtain further information from MakerereUniversity, Procurement and Disposal Unit, A5 Lincoln Flats from 8.00a.m to 5.00p.m,during working hours.

The Auction will take place at the Estates Department and thereafter at other locations on Thursday, 16/07/2009 and Friday,17/07/2009 commencing at 10.00a.m on both days.
