Position Summary
The Credentialing Systems/EPIC Provider Maintenance Specialist is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of the software and its functionality. The systems specialist will work as a member of the Credentialing team and will be responsible for maintaining accurate clinician information in the database and ensuring that appropriate systems access is implemented. The specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining and terminating the EPIC SER record for credentialed, referring and providers in training (Residents and Fellows). Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years previous experience in a healthcare environment required. Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: 1. An effective Specialist will exhibit these skill sets: • Basic project management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list, manage project plan). • Strong communication and follow-up skills. • Detail oriented and knack for probing for information in order to fully understand the underlying needs that drive how the system should be built. 2. Advanced analytical ability to assess situations and choose effective solutions. 3. Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
