The Kenyan Air Force will operate the Mi-171 soon. Number unknown. The first pilots have gone to Russia for training. It will be the first Russian-built type in the Air Force that traditionally has employed western-built types. The choice fro the Mil-chopper is based on the considerable lower operation costs compared to a western chopper type.
