This year the program entitled, Lelia Robinson and the Quest for Equality, will focus on the struggles of the first women lawyers and on the successes, and continuing challenges faced by women in the law since. Joining her will be Tufts University Professor of American History Virginia Drachman, one of America’s leading scholars on the role of the early women lawyers, and author ofSisters in Law.
Carol Mastromauro will be looking for student nominees soon
·  Please consider students in grades 11 or 12
·  Teachers from last year, please help us out in the selection process as it is very early in the school year to identify appropriate students
Break into Content Teams to revise pacing/Quarterly Topic guide (if you are a member of 2 teams, please work with last year's content group)
·  Begin at the end of the year
·  identify topics or "Big Ideas"
·  complete grid by quarters
·  integrate PBL
·  plan days spent on topic
·  paste draft on appropriate wikipage
UBD – Share & review newly developed units
·  Each unit must include: an introduction, Stage 1, 2, & 3 (We will work to clarify Stage 3/Learning Plan for the remainder of the year.)
·  Post to Wikipage/Content
·  Each teacher is responsible for collecting data (student work) & providing feedback on the unit(s)
·  Teacher/designer must introduce their unit to team before it is taught and is responsible for collecting suggestions and making the necessary revisions to “their” newly developed unit.
·  Where are we going with all of this?
o  Prepare students for career and/or college
o  Connect units to teacher evaluation/district determined measures
