Invitation to participate in Pre-Bid Conference at Gurgaon

The Government of India and the State Government Haryana have given a go ahead for the development of Smart Grid leading to Smart City Gurgaon. Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN)Haryana Vidyut Parsaran Nigam Ltd. (HVPNL) have been given the responsibility to accomplish this task. The broad vision is to make Gurgaon Diesel Generator set free city with availability of quality power round the clock. Before embarking on this project, DHBVN & HVPN would wish to learn from the knowledge & experience of various stake holders who can be partner in this project in the capacity of consultant, designer, planner, implementer, operator, hand holder etc. individually or all of them together. The proposed project is discussed briefly as under:

Name of Project:Smart Grid Project Gurgaon

Estimated Cost: Rs. 12,000/- Crores for entire Gurgaon city including Manesar.

Project In 4 to 5 phases.The 1st Phase covers area falling under Operation

Implementation:Sub-Division DLF having 30,000 consumers spread over 13-14 km area at an estimated cost of Rs. 1500 crores approximately.

Main Features:a)Introduction of 33 kV voltage level in Distribution to tackle ROW issue consideringthe load growth projections up to 2031.

b) 100 % redundancy at distribution level and n-1 at transmission level.

c) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)for distribution & transmission for the entire 3.50 lac consumers.

d) Advance Metering Infrastructure(AMI) with OMS for the entire city.

Project Execution:Concept to commissioning with two year’s post commissioning operations and maintenance

Who can participate:Power distribution Utilities, Consultants, Designer, Planner, implementer, operator having vast experience in the field(s) listed above in features.

Gurgaon has recorded a load growth more than 12 % per annum during the last 10 years. The present maximum demand is in the range of 1500 MW and is likely to touch 6000 MW by the year 2031. It would be a great opportunity to work on this project, the first of its kind in India & will become a role model for rest of the Country.
