Invited Visiting Professor, University of Malaysia, Department of Anthropology and Social Sciences, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2008-09). Delivered seminars to faculty and students on preventing youth violence. Helped to organize abstracts and proceedings for 2nd International Conference of Asian Psychological Association. Presented research at conferences throughout Asia and Europe. Co-edited book, Building Asian Families and Communities in the 21st Century (Cambridge, 2010) with my department chair there. Other duties as assigned.
Invited Visiting Professor, University of Bologna, Department of Psychology, Bologna, Italy (2007). Delivered seminars to faculty and students on adolescent psychology, preventing youth violence and educational psychology. Presented research at conferences in Italy.

Conducted, wrote and published research in the areas of adolescent development, tests and measurements and cross-cultural psychology with colleagues and graduate students in the doctoral adolescent psychology program. Worked to translate and norm psychological instruments (English to Brazilian Portuguese) in the Federal University Tests and Assessments Lab.
Professor of Psychology, Fulbright Senior Scholar at Vologda State Pedagogical University, Vologda, Russia and Leningrad State Regional University, St. Petersburg, Russia (2003-2004)
Recipient of Fulbright Scholarship for teaching and research. Taught graduate courses in methods of teaching English, psycholinguistics and cross-cultural psychology. Worked with doctoral students in educational psychology, specifically on international teaching practices, student perceptions of effective teaching and language acquisition. Conducted research on international educational practices, international issues in psychology, critical thinking, history of psychology and adolescent development. Offered relevant seminars; participated in conference planning, conferences (regional, national and international), doctoral defenses, university meetings and other university projects. Actively involved in distance education in Russia, offering seminars at campuses throughout the country.
