GRADING

Students will receive a grade for their efforts and/or performance on homework, classwork, projects, quizzes, and tests. Larger assignments will carry more weight than smaller assignments. Students who are absent from class due to illness, doctor appointments, etc. MUST make-up all assignments. It is the student’s responsibility to ask for the make-up assignments. Students’ grades will be based on a total of points earned and determined by the following scale:

Grades will then be assessed on the following scale:

100-97 A+ 89-87 B+ 79-77 C+69-67 D+ 59-0 F

96-93 A 86-83 B 76-73 C 66-63 D

92-90 A- 82-80 B- 72-70 C-62-60 D-

***There is a retest option for each test. Students should pass tests with 70% accuracy. It is the student’s responsibility to set up a time to re-take a test before school, after school, or during remediation day.

LATE WORK POLICY

All work is expected to be turned in on the assigned due date. Thereafter, there will be 5 school days in which work may be turned in with a 20% penalty. Work will NOT be accepted after that time. I reserve the right to work with students on an individual basis if necessary.

NOTE: Since many of the practice problems for each assignment are worked in class and all answers are given in class, I do not allow a one day grace period on daily assignments. All late assignments will be worth 80% credit.
