Weekly Group Meeting General Schedule

  • Typical Monday Group Meeting Format: 12-2pm(HEDCO 244)
  • Teaching Topic: Approximately 45 minutes (depending on the day)
  • Group Share: 1 statement about client & 1 Question (15 min per student):

  • Before the end of the week, your Assessment Dayteam assignment and clients will be sent to you with an evaluation plan.
  • You should review the standardized assessments outlined within your assessment plan and make time to practice test administration, scoring an entire protocol, and understanding score interpretation with your assigned clinical partner.

  • IPPEs with Supervisors
  • Start thinking about choosing a 5-minute video clip of an intervention session from one of your clients. This will be reviewed during the week 7 group meeting. The video clip doesn’t have to be a “rock star” session. You can learn a great deal from sessions that don’t go well.

  • Review the connection between Common Core Standards and client LTGs for speech sound disorders, language targets (e.g., semantics, syntax, language processing, and literacy), and social skills.
