IMPORTANT CONFERENCE INFORMATION

NEW OPTION – CHARLESTON DINE AROUND – Given that our conference is being held over Valentine’s Day weekend and Charleston restaurants are booked way in advance on just a normal weekend, SCAPA has secured 40 dinner reservations for parties of 4 to 8 on Saturday night at several wonderful restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We are touting this as a Legislative Advocacy Fundraiser and asking for a $10 per person donation to secure the reservation. If you are interested in dining with your PA colleagues at some of Charleston’s finest restaurants on Saturday night and supporting your association’s efforts to improve your practice environment, secure your dinner reservations HERE.

OTHER MEALS – Breakfast and lunch are provided through product theatre events (Category II CME) during the conference as follows: Friday breakfast-Heart Failure supported by Novartis; Friday lunch-Weight Management supported by NovoNordisk; Saturday lunch-PCSK9 supported by Regeneron; Saturday lunch-Improving Clinical Outcomes supported by Boston Heart Diagnostics; and Sunday breakfast-Hepatitis C supported by Gilead Sciences. MOBILE EVENT GUIDE – eventmobi.com/scapa2016/ - This is where you will find handouts, speaker bios,the conference schedule, and evaluation forms. We encourage you to download the app to your device (iphone, android, ipad, tablet, laptop) for one click access during the conference. Instructions can be found HERE. Go to “Agenda - Handouts - CME Evaluation” to access the schedule and location of sessions. By clicking on a session, you can see CME type, speaker disclosures, learning objectives, and the handout. There is also an area to take notes during class, and the CME session evaluation can be found at the very bottom of the screen. Go to “SPEAKERS” for speaker bios and lectures they are giving. Go to “CME INFORMATION” for a full explanation of the CME being offered during the conference.The“Event Feed” will be used during the conference to send out important reminders and alerts. And at the end of the conference, we encourage you to go to “What did you think?” and complete the event evaluation. Those completing this evaluation will be entered into a drawing for a FREE registration to the SCAPA 2107 Fall CME Conference at Wild Dunes.

LOCATION & PARKING - All classes will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel located at 181 Church Street in historic Charleston. The hotel provides valet parking for $30 per day; however, there are city parking garages at $16 per day within walking distance of the hotel. They can be located at HERE.

CHECKING IN:Your onsite registration materials can be picked up at the SCAPA Conference Registration Desk located in the foyer outside the Stono Ballroom in the DoubleTree Conference Center. The desk will be open Thursday afternoon, 3:00-6:00pm, again at 7:00am on Friday, and throughout the conference.

TRANSPORTATION– If you are flying into Charleston, we suggest Uber, airport shuttle, or a taxi. You will not need a car once you arrive at the hotel. The DoubleTree is conveniently located in the heart of the historic district, and everything you need is within walking distance.
