LITURGICAL SERVICES

HOLY MASS:Daily at 10:00am; Saturday Vigil for Sunday at 4:30pm; Sunday at 10:00am, 12:00 noon and 6:30pm.
SACRAMENT OF CONFESSION: Every Saturday after 10:00 am Mass, Between 4:00pm-4:25pm, After the Vigil Mass. / ROSARY: Daily in the Church at 9:40am & Friday between 3:00pm-4:00pm in the Oratory.
EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: From 10:30am-10:0am each weekday in the Oratory.

Holy Mass of Chrism in Saint Andrew’s Pro Cathedral, Greenock at 7:00pm. A bus will leave for this Holy Mass from Saint John’s Church at 5.30pm.
HOLY THURSDAY: APRIL 5 2012
10:00am Morning Prayer and Procession of Oils.
7:00pm Holy Mass of the Lord’s Supper celebrated by Bishop Tartaglia.
9:45pm Night Prayer
GOOD FRIDAY: APRIL 6 2012
10:00am Morning Prayer, followed by Walk of Witness starting at 10:15am from Saint John’s Church
3:00pm Solemn Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion (Adults in Church)
3:00pm Children in Hall (Please bring a plant or flowers for the Easter Garden)
7:00pm Stations of the Cross with Kissing of the Cross in the Church (with participation of local churches)
GOLF COMPETITION – SAINT JOHN’S CUP
A parish golf competition has been arranged on Friday, May 25 2012 at the Fereneze Golf Club. Entry is £20.00 per person and this includes the round of golf, hot rolls on arrival at the course, and a two course dinner afterwards. It is for all abilities, from the serious golfer to hackers like Father Patten. Please sign up on the lists in the porch. CHILDREN’S LITERGY
The children’s liturgy has stopped now for the Easter holiday.We will resume on Sunday, 22 2012 in the Hall at 10 o’clock. All primary school children welcome.

There is a box marked Flowers for anyone wishing to make a donation for the flowers for Easter.
CHRISM MASS
If you wish to attend the Chrism Mass, please sign the sheet in the foyer. Bus leaves church car park at 5.30pm. / LOURDES PILGRIMAGE
There are still places available on the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes from June 29 – July 6 2012. We require nurses and helpers also. All enquires about the Pilgrimage should be made to Miss Anne Louise Buchanan, 46 Royal Street, Gourock or phone 01475 638132 as soon as possible.

List now available in the Sacristy for readers and extraordinary ministers for the Holy Week services.
CHRISM MASS
As the Cathedral is still unfinished, the Chrism Mass will take place in Saint Andrew’s Pro Cathedral, Greenock. A list in the porch is available for anyone wishing to travel to the Mass.
EASTER CARD
A card with all the Holy Week services is available in the Foyer. Please take as many as you wish and distribute them to family, friends and neighbours
LOURDES HOSPITALITE
Lourdes Hospitalite are having a race night on Saturday, April 21 2012 in Saint Mirin’s Parish Hall, Paisley at 7.30pm ‘till midnight. Tickets from Angela Gow; Tel 0141 237 3584.
OFFERTORY ENVELOPES
The Gift Aid envelopes are available in the Foyer. Please take your allocated box home with you for Friday. If you or your spouse pay tax, please consider completing the Gift Aid form and helping the parish gain an extra 25% from your contribution. If you only give 50p per week, and pay tax, the parish can claim a further £6.50. Non Gift Aid envelopes are also available in the foyer. Please mark down the number of your box, your name and address before taking it home.For those who pay by standing order, there are boxes containing envelopes for each collection. Some of these you will wish to use for the special collections, and building fund. A letter is included with these.
ERRATA
Please note the following two errors in this year’s Easter Card: The Mass of Chrism will take place on Wednesday, April4 2012in Saint Andrew’s Greenock, not April 20 2012 as advertised.The Saint Conval’s Cemetery Mass will take place on Sunday, April 15 2012 at 2pm, not May 15 2012.
FAMILY FUN NIGHT-PARISH OUTING NUNRAW ABBEY 2012
Family Fun Night on Friday, May 4 2012 from 7pm-10.30pm in Saint Thomas Church Hall, Neilston to help raise funds for the buses for our Parish outing to Nunraw Abbey on Saturday, June 2 2012.Tickets £4 per adult, £2 per childand family ticket for 4 is £10. There will be NO 4.30pm Mass on Saturday, April 7 2012.
Please note that Good Friday is a Day of Fast and Abstinence.
Readers are required for Morning Prayer on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday.
We need two readers for each morning. If you are willing to help please speak to one of the priests.
