Runners Instructions: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!

The Pottstown Half Marathon begins at 7 am on Saturday, July 15, 2017 rain or shine. The start and finish lines are near the Sly Fox Brewery at 331 Circle of Progress, Pottstown, PA 19465.

Packet Pick-up and Runners Expo is Friday July 14, 2017 from 3-7pm. Location is Sly Fox Brewery, 331 Circle of Progress Pottstown PA 19464. It is highly recommended you pick up your packet on Friday as we
will have limited time on Saturday morning. If you cannot make it Friday you can pick-up your packet from 5:30-6:30am on Race Day at the Brewery which is also the starting and ending point of the race.

The expo is scheduled to be outside. Many vendors will have items for sale and will accept cash, checks and credit cards. Please make every attempt to pick up your packet on Friday and visit our vendors at the Expo.

We will be accepting race registration at the Expo on Friday and the morning of the race from

5:30-6:30am.

The Start and Finish lines are at separate locations but only a few hundred yards apart.

In case of inclement weather on Friday the 14th, we will change the location of the expo. We will email details no later than Thursday evening.

We do not have a bag check for this event.

Parking: There is plenty of parking around the Circle of Progress, however we ask you to not park on the street as that is part of the race course. The field beside the brewery will be the primary parking area but any parking lots around the circle are available.

At the request of the police, runners will generally be running on the right-hand side of the road. There will be police and course marshals along the route to direct you.

Water Stops: We have several water stops along the course. Roughly located at miles: 2,4,6,8,10 and 12.At the Mile 6 water stop we will also have GU.

We will have Port-a-Pots located at the Riverfront Park at Mile 3, in front of the YMCA at Mile 8, and right before Mile 11.

We will have medical personel at the Start/Finish area.

There is not a time limit for completing the race, but course support will be pulled after four hours (11 am). Timers will stay until the last runner crosses the finish line.

Assisting a runner from a car or bicycle is strictly prohibited and is grounds for disqualification. Dogs and strollers are prohibited.

The race awards presentation will be in front of Sly Fox Brewery at approximately 10:45am. You will receive a ticket at packet pickup for a post-race beer. You will need this ticket and ID to get your beer. Tickets cannot be replaced if lost. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ID OR THE STAFF WILLNOT SERVE YOU.
