This application and agreement are entered into between the Rotary club identified below and Rotary International District 7690 Grants Committee. In applying for and accepting Project Funding from Rotary District 7690 and/or The Rotary Foundation, the sponsoring club agrees:

1.To utilize the project funds to support a project within an area of focus as outlined in this application. Funds provided by the district will not be used for any purpose other than those specified in this application.

2.To submit timely progress reports on the project and a final report no later than May 15, 2015. Receipts for all expenditures and any unused funds must be submitted with reports.

3.To defend, indemnify and hold harmless Rotary International (RI), The Rotary Foundation (TRF), Rotary District 7690, their respective directors, trustees, officers, employees, and committee members (collectively RI/TRF/District) from any and all damages, losses, judgments and costs.

4.That this agreement may be cancelled for any reason without notice upon the failure of the sponsors to abide by the terms set forth herein. The sponsors agree to return any grant funds upon cancellation, in their entirety, including any interest earned.

5.All applicable laws of the States of Illinois and North Carolina, USA, govern this agreement.

District Grant Application

Grant Criteria

1.The grant cannot be used to reimburse clubs for projects already undertaken and in progress, for activities primarily sponsored by a non-Rotary organization, or for projects that are already completed.

2.The project location can be domestic or international.

3.Grant amount cannot exceed the club/clubs contribution.

4.The grant cannot be used for personal services, administration expenses and some travel.

5.The grant cannot be used for construction projects or structures where people live, work, or engage in gainful activity, or for storage.

6.A detailed progress report is required six months after the disbursement of the funds to the club. A final detailed report is required by May 15, 2015. The reports must include descriptions of how the project provided benefit to the community, how it involved Rotarians, how many Rotarians were involved, and a full accounting of project expenditures with all receipts.

Time Line and Notes

  1. The application will not be considered unless the final report and receipts for a 2013 District Grant project have been submitted by May 15, 2014.
  2. Initial application period closes May 31, 2014. Clubs will be notified by July 2014 of District Grant Application status. .
  3. Projects must be completed May 1, 2015
  4. Final report and all receipts must be submitted May 15, 2015.
  5. Clubs can apply for funds up to two times the amount listed in the Club Allocation Chart.
