/ Reciprocity Registration Instructions

Returning Reciprocity Officials:

1.Select “Official’s Corner” from the Officials/Judges drop-down menu on the gold bar.

2.Enter your e-mail addressand password to login. If you don’t know your password, please contact the office between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at (763) 560-2262 or send an email to . Do not create a new account.

3.Once logged into Official’s Corner, the registration page will appear. Follow the steps to register and complete payment. The cost is $15 and includes all sports you register for. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

4.Once your fee has been paid, you will see a check mark in box in front of the “Reciprocity Registration” heading.

5.Check to make sure that you have a checkmark in front of the “Background Check” and “Concussion Management” headings. If you do, then you are done and are eligible to work regular seasonevents in Minnesota, assuming you have completed all of your home state requirements. If you do not have checkmarks in front of both headings, proceed to number 6.

6.If you have not completed the background check or concussion training, you will need to do so before you can work in Minnesota.

a.Background Check: Click on the “Background Check Website” link under the Background Check header on Official’s Corner. This will direct you to the McDowell Agency’s website. Follow the prompts and submit. Please print the confirmation page for your records.

b.Concussion Management: Minnesota State Law requires that all official’s complete concussion training once every three years. Click on the “Concussion Management” link to start the training course (around 30 minutes). Once you have completed the course and received credit, you will see a checkmark in front of the heading. If you have taken the course through the NFHS, you may mail, email () or fax (763/569-0499) a copy of your certificate of completion to the office to receive credit. Please make sure to include your MSHSL ID number.

Once you have checkmarks in front of both the “Background Check” and “Concussion Management” headings, you are eligible to work regular season events in Minnesota. Reciprocity officials are not required to complete the items listed in the center column of your Official’s Corner.

New Reciprocity Officials:

**Note: If you were registered with us anytime during the past 20 years, you are not a new official-please follow the steps listed above. Do not create a new account.

1.Select “Become an Official” from the Officials/Judges drop-down menu on the gold bar.

2.Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the link “More Information”.

3.Enter your contact info and create a password for Official’s Corner. Click in the box “I am registering as a reciprocity official.” A box will pop up for you to confirm that you are eligible to register as a reciprocity official. Confirm you are eligible and then click on the “Click Here to begin Registration” button.

4.Make note of the 5-digit ID number at the top of the list of sports (this number typically starts with an8). This your MSHSL ID number. Keep it somewhere you can access easily as you will need it to complete the background check, and anytime you contact our office.

5.Select the sport(s) you are registering for and follow the rest of the online instructions. The cost is $15 and includes all sports you register for. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
