1. Pioneer Seeds: Marketing Officer (1989-1996) 7 years

Major accomplishments at Pioneer:

1. I started my career from a position of FIELD ASSISTANT; job profile was extension, trialing, network development, sales and marketing.

2. We did strong trialing of their products sunflower, corn and bajra.Bajra and sunflower developed in my time and very soon it became bread and butter for the company. Sunflower 6460, and bajra 7701 generated big revenues and popularity.

3. We built up a very strong sales and marketing network.

4. A big problem of multi flowering in sunflower 6471 came and we resolved all big claims and conflicts of the farmers successfully in very limited time and money.

2. Syngenta Seeds, Pune: (1996-2001)5 yearsas a Sales Executive and in charge for 5 Northern states Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP, HP and Uttaranchal.

Major accomplishments at Syngenta:

1. At the time of my joining, Syngenta was SANDOZ SEEDS and I was their second employee in north. The sales and network were at the bottom.

2. We developed sunflower- 212, Hybrid Cotton-Sandocot Dhawal-2 and 4,Corn-swarna, Bajra-moti501 in cereals. The 40% revenue of the total TO generated from cerealsonly. We touched sales of 200MT sunflower, 300MT of corn and bajra was not so much promising but sold 100MT in my time.

3. All high value vegetable seeds like tomato AVINASH-2and rocky, capsicum-indra, cabbage quisto, cauliflower serreno inducted and developed in my time. At that time tomato were being sold at a price of Rs.10000-20000 per kg.Where as we sold AVINASH-2 tomato at Rs.65000 per kg and I touched a sales figure of 300 kg in north.

4. I conducted different trial/selected various valuable products which became the image and recognition of the company. Handled a team of 10 sales people and developed them, established a strong sales network. Helped the company in development of R&D farm at Karnal.I never gave a chance to the market or to the customers to make their problems/complaints/conflicts major issues. I always handles the complaints at very initial stage before they can become problem for the company.

3. Indo American Hybrid Seeds, Bangalore: (2001-2006)5 yearsas Regional Manager Marketing-North, New Delhi

Major accomplishments at IAHS:

1. When I joined this company the company was like a sinking boat. Its total TO of the region has come down drastically.The morale of the market and staff was at the bottom line. I took this as a challenge and made a promise to Dr.Manmohan Attavar, CMD to regain company’s lost glory. And I did this successfully. I left the company in 2006 after giving 4 times growth to its turnover..

2. Immediately after joining,I resolved all of the conflicts the company was facing within six months, boosted the morale of my team and network, and started going in the field with my staff and dealers. We conducted field trials of their all products and rearranged the product line and selected the most promising products and grew their volume.

3. It was a pure vegetable seeds company in North. I emphasized on the need for introduction of cereals in my region. So I introduced and conducted trials of their rice hybrids. And in my time their 2 hybrid rice KHUSHBOO (100-001) and SAMRAT became premium products of the company. Similarly Hybrid Cotton Sanju was introduced and touched height.

4. In my 5 years of tenure, only one consumer court case was registered against the company. Whereas when I joined the company around 100 court cases were in trial. I closed all the court cases doing compromise and settlement so that we can focus on the work only. I learnt big lessons on CRISIS MANAGEMENT in this company practically.

A brief report on my present status

1. This was the company launched in Dec, 2006.This Company was formed by myself and one other partner Mr.C.Muralidhar.

2. We started the business with hybrid paddy, SSG, Corn, tomato, chillies, and bhendi.The business was good in the first 2 years. Which indicates strongly an entrepreneurial skills in me.Later on, we could not scale up the business operations due to lack of technology.In Sept 2010, I left the company handing over the company to my partner.

3. NOW, Iwould like to join a job again as I had enjoyed greater success as an employee during job tenures with Pioneer, Syngenta, and Indo-American Hybrid Seeds.

CTC Expected:Rs.6 lacs per annum and as per the rules of the company.It is negotiable.

Preferred Location: Presently at New Delhi.But relocation is not a problem.I can shift and work anywhere in the world.

PROJECT HANDLED: JATROPHA

I have completed a project on Jatropha cultivation for a company.Jatropha is a wild plant and it can be grown in desert area. It is a bio-diesel plant which can be a very good substitute for fossil oil (which is natural and is for max another 100 years).We can produce all petroleum products from this plant.
